You're assuming hunts aren't awful and boring, though.

Awful and boring have no bearing on efficiency... manual production lines are awful and boring, but they're far more efficient then having one person work on one item at a time until they're done.

That being said... personally I don't think so, but then I've been in the hunt game a long time so I know how to let the salt roll off my back.

True, it is efficient...but so is FATE grinding (efficient to leveling) but that is also quite boring.
However since I AM playing a game, I'd rather not do something I hate to get my items, efficient or not.

To be fair I love dungeon grinding, and tons of people hate that, so /shrug

Well, the game and the Anima system are both designed with how you want to play it. Don't like the hunt? That's fine, you can grind Alex for the items or other dungeons for Poetics. Honestly, I don't even really go to hunts a lot... just do my daily bills, hit S-Ranks I can get to and if I happen to be in a zone for an A-Rank... I'll kill it. Play how you like, I was just giving an option and an opinion on how to handle the Beast Tribes more efficiently, is all.
