Today, I found out that a friend who my friends had been raiding with over a year passed a way in his sleep. My fellow FC members wish to do something to honest the loss of this friend. However, there are very little opportunities to do so , both in more private or a more simple publc manner.

Our friend Potato Cake of Gilgamesh had many friends but chose to spend his time with his friends in our FC. We wish to continuance to have a little piece of him as a continual reminder of the good person, the goofball and the friend to he was to many of us.

So I ask the Devs to give us a way to do this. To have access to some piece of furniture we could remember him by. Whether is it an Eorzea(GC) flag pole we can set at half mast, to even having his character model replacing one of the vendor's in our house, or by simple making his model wander or home and yard. A grave stone or a shrine. Reminding of if this incredible person that brought joy to your lives.

Rest in Piece oh goofy little Lalafell priemd Potato Cake of Gilgamesh. You will be misssed, and remembered with fondess.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. There was a thread awhile ago about creating a monument to the fallen with some suggestions in it (both for square and for players). I believe someone suggested to have someone make a retainer that looks like the player and then you can gear them up as you wish to remember them and put the retainer up in your yard.

I'm sorry for your friend's passing, but at least it sounds like a peaceful end(I hope I go in my sleep). As for the topic the previous poster referenced, this is it if you would like to look through it for suggestions, or to add your likes/reply to support the larger thread so the devs hopefully see it.

I would also caution that this is a sensitive topic, and many people, as you can see in that thread, do not respond well to it(myself included, honestly). So I do also ask that you please try to respect those who are here to escape reality instead of dwell on the unfortunate aspects of it.

Hopefully the devs will introduce something fair and neutral eventually, to allow some players to remember their friends and family without upsetting others.
