Some late stage Thordan Ex MT questions

I've been MTing Thordan Ex with my static and we're consistent now through the wild charge mechanic after meteors. Things start to get a little messy there and I wanted to make sure I'm understanding the normal handling since some of the guides have been a little confusing.

For the eyes, most guides say to tank Thordan "facing" the eye, while most videos have the eye staring at thordan's side with the tank perpendicular to the thordan/eye line. Which method is preferred and does it change on different eye casts. (ie the wild charge coupled one, the perpendicular approach makes more sense. The conviction towers and holy chains later ones I think co-linear seams safer for all the dodging that has to happen?

Besides' the faith unmoving/dragon rage cast after dimensional collapse, does the MT stack with the party any other time?

    Thanks!

Initial guides say the former method, while the optimal way is to have the latter way.
The latter way is better because it is easier for the tank to dodge gaze (just turn rather than remembering u have to turn sideways), and is also good for the OT to continue dps'ing during wild charge pohase
Otherwise it makes no difference for the non MT, because you turn around to dodge anyway. As long as thordan and the eye are near the same place it makes no difference.

MT doesnt 'stack' with party after the rage

Most often, the groups I've run with have wanted as much room as possible to deal with the mechs and avoid the eyes, so standing Thordan sideways is usually the way I do it.

For the 1st eye, keeping Thordan at the edge and facing him sideways allows the rest of the group to continue Dps while dealing with Heavenly Heel. No one really has to move. They just have to turn.

For the 2nd Eye, it honestly doesn't make a difference what method you use, so long as you move Thordan to the eye ASAP. Melee Dps and OT cannot continue to Dps during that Phase regardless of what direction Thor is facing, since they have to run off to deal with conviction towers (unless your group has planned who, specifically, will be dealing with towers). As soon as they run away, they are no longer facing either the eye or Thor regardless of which direction he's facing. After towers he spawns puddles, so the MT has to move him anyway. The only time Thor's direction is important during this phase is if your group has a good mix up (2 ranged and 2 melee) and have pre-planned to have the ranged (including the healers) deal with the towers while the melee continue to burn Thor. At that point, then it is still beneficial to turn Thordan sideways to make dodging the gaze easier for yourself and the melee.

3rd eye doesn't matter. You can completely ignore it and focus on mechs. There are 2 Dragons Rage around this point in the fight. The first one happens just before the 3rd Dragon's eye. For this one, you should be stacking with the party in the middle. Stacking is more important to avoid getting punted back in the wrong direction and hitting the wall, but it's also nice for the MT to help soak the dmg too (especially if anyone in your party has weakness or defense down). You just have to make sure to re-position as soon as it's done to avoid cleaving the party. The second Dragon's Rage, however, you do NOT stack with the party. The party stacks with you. For the second Dragon's Rage, the MT's job is to identify where the Divebombing knight is ASAP, and move to the side ASAP. The rest of the party will be relying on you to do this as quickly as possible, because they will be coming to stack on you if they don't have a tether or marker. You're basically the guidepost for that part of the fight.

4th eye kind of works the same as the second, only easier for the MT. Everyone has to run away from Thor this time because everyone get's chained. So, technically, no one should be worried about Thordan regardless of how you have him facing, and facing him a certain way doesn't matter because no one can be doing Dps. Facing him sideways will make it easier for you to dodge Gaze, but it won't make a difference to the rest of the team.

The moral of the story is that it is more important to have Thordan in position than it is what direction he is facing. Make sure that you move him ASAP for every eye (except 3rd) and the Dps should not be bothered too much by which way he is facing. Turning him sideways makes things easier on you though.

Aaaaaand here is where I realize the extent of my laziness.... I do both , depending on if I am dragging him straight across the room or if I am just running him up the side of the wall for a short move. Ultimately, everyone else treats it the same, it's just you that has to adjust.

After the 2nd KOTR (conviction/floor aoe/dragon rage push back) if you move boss to a cheese it spot right after push back you don't have to worry about running him around the wall to adjust. If you move to proper eye spot as soon as eyes come out you can just run straight thru since no cleaves well occur since he will stop and cast then run straight for you
