SE, I have suggestions for Players wanting to transfer server

Players pay REAL money to transfer, SE should take at least make it EASY for players to transfer.

I'm currently STUCK on a DEAD server, I cannot get any end-game content done. It takes literally 6-7 days for me to find a group to clear A2S weekly.



Here's my suggestions:

-Create a special type of Allagan Piece worth 1 Million for players to purchase from a NPC, so they can use all of their gil to purchase the 1 Million gil Allagan Piece from the NPC and re-sell it back to the NPC in the new server. PLEASE do something so players can use their gil to meet the 1 Mil limit req. Take the Allagan Piece suggestion in consideration.

-Let players with One person FC take the FC with them. (Not housing, just the FC) I'm not talking about players with FC filled with players, just those One Person FC.

-Make the same housing items stackable so it doesn't take all of the slots in the inventory.

Sorry to hear that.

Realistically I don't think SE will remove that limit due to the limit being an anti-abuse counter measure. The reasons for server hopping sadly isn't always genuine and clean-cut and all the suspicious reasons...there's quite a few.

I know this could be a pain in the butt but like how you gave that "user friendly" option for transferring gil, you could research prices on the server you want to go to and purchase items on your dead server to resell on the new server. Obviously you won't make everything back, but if you have a significant amount more than the maximum to carry over...it's an option.

Why not just ask them to remove the transfer cap?....it's exactly the same thing. When you transfer between certain servers you can 'kinda' see the reasoning behind the cap. I went from Sarganatas to Tonberry. I went from being relatively poor on Sarg, to pretty rich on Tonberry due to the massive differences in the economy. I'd still prefer the cap removed though.

Cap is there for a reason. It shouldn't be lifted. Gil has different values on different servers, and bringing in to much would/could/can ruin the economy of a server. You can list off a million reasons to lift the cap, but at the end of the day, the balance of an economy is a fickle thing, and when you start messing with it, you can't quite predict what is going to happen, and its better to just leave it alone. I'm sorry for your predicament OP, but sometimes you have to cut your losses.

Thanks, I was able to create an alt in the server I want to move. I'll start over for now and rebuild a FC then I'll move there. The issue is, I have a lot of gil (been playing for more than 2 yrs now, pretty much started in my current server). So it's hard, plus I have a lot of unique housing items you cannot attain anymore from events not a lot of slot to buy items

RMTs could still abuse that by making their characters jump server with most, if not all, of their money, easily moving into any economy they wanted to to make more money

Transferring your gil isn't impossible, but you have to use your inventory and accept that you'll be subject to market forces.
1. Make an alt on your target world.
2. Check the market boards on both worlds. Find items that are high value, ideally comparable in price between worlds, and which sell reliably. (Possible options: Materia, mats for glamour items.)
3. Buy up items found in step 2 until out of gil. Depending on how much you have, you may need to get a variety of items this way.
4. Transfer the character.
5. Sell the items in the destination world.

I know that you are meaning One person FC. By the way, would be nice if the FC leader could transfer all the FC members to a different server. This would be fantastic seriously this is would be a innovation.

HOW would that be an 'innovation'? It's $18 to change server, which makes you really think hard on if you want to server jump or not. WHY would it be a good idea to make everyone in your FC jump with you? For all you know, other people are only in the FC for the FC buffs and don't like you much at all
