Raines, Im glad you have shared the link XD. One more week it is then!Since a lot people here seem to have sent emails during the weekend Im gonna give etisalat 1 more week. Otherwise I'm already looking into how to change to du. They have a page called change to du in their website which is tempting lol. http://www.du.ae/personal/at-home/change-to-du
So I got my first reply from care@etisalat.ae just now. They just asked me for my account info 'in order to better understand and help'. I'll be emailing them back and forth in the next 24 hours. I know I can explain the issue to them perfectly, the question is.. will they actually do what is required of them? Which is either a) take down the firewall that was put up a week ago at EMIX or b) re-routing the path from Etisalat servers to FFXIV NA Data Centre to bypass the firewall at EMIX.
I'll keep everyone posted.
Joining the conversation in this thread aswell, havent been able to log in since Wednesday 25th, contacted Etisalat, contacted Se. They have confirmed alot of people in the 'region' have this problem.
If it is like XeinoLoco mentioned a packet loss, and we need to disable the firewall from etisalat, then best thing is we put pressure on them through the TRA, or directly to one of the directors. After all if Du isnt firewalling this then why are they??
Gd luck to you all, hopefully this problem will be resolved soon and thank you for all the info and effort.
Good Morning all, thought to check out the update before i head to workSo I got my first reply from care@etisalat.ae just now. Xeino, thanks for the follow up. While i understand the cause that you explained makes perfect sense, my question is why did it happen after Sony Computer Entertainment did the maintenance (link)? Or was it just a coincidence? Or perhaps Sony did some changes to the traceroutes which made etisalat/EMIX go secured?
That's a good question. I was convinced that it was the PSN update that messed everything up but two SE tech support agents told me it was a data packet loss issue because of a firewall/security protocol at EMIX. If it turns out that it's not a firewall then it's probably to do with PSN, but I suggest we assume it's the firewall until proven otherwise.Good Morning all, thought to check out the update before i head to work

As for the email conversation with Etisalat.. they haven't got back to me yet but it's only 9:30am.
After checking your link, I remember having issues a few hours BEFORE the PSN maintenance. So there's a good chance it has nothing to do with PSN.
They (care@etisalat) called me a few minutes ago. Theyre gonna write a complaint with all the details I gave them and forward it to their team of Technicians. It'll be 24-48 hours before I receive a reply from the technical team.
SE should talke with our isp ,why no responding from GM !! Ilost a week from my subscription .
I bought this game from UAE so it's allowed .
Chif, it's not only the game region but even ps systems are promoted within Etisalat gaming package.
I would suggest that we book a ticket with Etisalat as well so that they trigger it as a problem occurring with larger scale customers.
