Eternity Ring bugged

The issue I am having is my Eternity Ring has become bugged, it says obtaining signature instead of my eternal bond partner's name Asunaru Sakura. She did not change her name or transfer servers so there should be no reason why my Eternity Ring should say obtaining signature.



Anyone here had this issue and knows how to fix it?

Seems like a serious issue because these wedding cost $40 real money.

You could always contact a GM and see if they can fix it. My and hubbies ring works fine.

It's a strange bug but don't worry, as soon as the person you're EB'd to will log in you will see their name again on the ring.

I had that happen myself where it said "Obtaining Signature" so i told my partner to log in, their name showed up again on the ring once they did but strangely enough it vanished again like a day or two later. It seem to happen when your partner doesn't log in for 24h or 48h. In my case my EB ring still says "Obtaining signature" but thats because they didnt log in in a while.

That is weird because I just played with them this morning. About 14 hours ago, they aren't logged in now but maybe tomorrow they will log on.

I could be wrong but i remember clearly that about a day or so after my EB partner logged out after i told them to get on due to the "Obtaining signature" thing, the ring was showing "Obtaining Signature" again after showing their name.

It's not necessary but next time your partner log in, report back here if you see their name.

Possibly unrelated to this bug, is that I noticed the game displays 'Obtaining Signature' as a placeholder name on signature (crafted) gear that I originally acquired on another server (Ridill) but brought with me to Balmung - only signature gear that I acquired on Balmung will show the name (which includes my Eternity Ring). Hence it seems it defaults to this if the game cannot find that character information on that server.

As a result, the only thing I can think of Zumi is that your partner's account is experiencing some kind of billing issue and thus is classed as temporarily suspended (thus the ring's signature defaults to that), but that is a very long shot.

Yeah, i see Asunaru online in Foundation on a regular basis (since we live in the same Timezone). But, could it be possible that Asunaru was in a Duty at the time? When you look at your friendlist, Linkshell, People who are in a Duty are usually located in “Another World”. Might this be related?

Nonetheless, it sounds to me that the client was unable to retrieve the name of your Eternal Bond partner. Did you try teleporting to Asunaru since you saw that “Obtaining Signature” message? If that still works, then it’s just an issue with displaying your partner’s name on the details of the ring.

Either way, you could check if anyone else has reported this particular issue at the bug report section of the forum and report it yourself if no one else has reported it yet.

i don't have any issues with the game, could login normally and my subscription is also not at 0 days this month
