I only play a Miqo'te cause "half-elf" isn't a player race yet.

Lalafell: I don't like the super short/chubby build.

Au'ra: I love the height and movements, but can't stand the horns/scales.

Hyur: felt a bit bulkier then I'd like, really didn't like the emotes.

Elezen: Way to tall for my taste.

Roe's: Clearly to big and bulky for me.

And Miqo'te: Ok height and build, but don't like being a brainless anime cat girl. That and being treated badly by the "nice and friendly" player base just for the race I play.

Half-elf: I love this race idea more then any other, even more so after HW. I could go on and on about it, but won't. However the general response to it so far has been "it's boring and unoriginal"...

I'll be hated no matter what I do so may as well just say "to hell with all of you" and enjoy my self.

I thinking Alphinaud it's a half-elf he have a great look would be a good implement to the game. By the way I always will be a Hyurean.

Female highlander emotes are all very feminine which is unexpected given how large they are.

Haven't seen a single player being treated badly for their race choice. There were some Au Ra witch hunts and eaten lalafells on Balmung, but those were roleplayers... so it might be a personality issue. The nice and friendly player base can be nasty when they feel threatened or required to perform to certain level tho. Nothing to do with race.

Wait, I thought the women were playing all these "sexy" male characters which use tons of make-up. Especially male Miqos.

I've tried every girl chara. I started out Elezen, changed to Hyur Highlander for tanking as well as disliking the Elezen body design and emotes, started a Roegadyn and dragon girl alt, and recently Fantasia'd into my current cute Mi'qote girl.

I like Roegadyn female okay, but it's not my favorite. The emotes are very restrained and the running gait is very lumbering. I'll keep playing my Roegadyn alt but she's not the best or most expressive imo, alas.

Edit: and I tried a Lala girl too, she was cute but I never played with her, so I turned her into my pretty dragon girl tank.

Not always! Sometimes the ladies like to glam up and run around sexy and half nekkid too!

(Seriously though, although I've done the sexy half nekkid look, it probably is mostly men.)
