Conderining the Maps.

I've always thought it would be terribly cool if the maps changed depending on the season!
Like, if it's winter a snowy ground and maybe some snow flakes flying around.
Spring with a little more blooming and stuff.
Cold / Rainy feeling in autum.

This could give some cool conditions for quests and NMs as well maybe,
besides it being totally awesome imo.
I wonder if that is possible at all tho..

I like the idea, myself. It's certainly possible, but its a lot of work. There already redoing all the maps, assuming they make 3 additional variations (assuming the first version is considered one of the seasons) per map it could be a lot of work.

That's the only reason I doubt they'd end up doing it, I do think it would add a nice layer of immersion to the game though.

Actually, if you look at the map redesign so far, Gridania seems to have a sort of "fall" type area. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THESE CHANGES I WILL NEVER LEAVE THE FOREST.

Is that word taboo around here or something? It's one of my favorite words to describe what I want out of an MMO. That and an entire room filled with Chicobo's so I can explode from cuteness.

Actually, if you look at the map redesign so far, Gridania seems to have a sort of "fall" type area. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THESE CHANGES I WILL NEVER LEAVE THE FOREST.

I hope that means I can play in piles of leaves. Though the elementals will probably come after me if I do. They seem to be like really mean lifeguards at the pool. Gonna get murdered by forest spirits cause I accidentally squished a bug.

Still like the OP suggested, I would like to see Gridania forest during the winter months too. Winter and fall are my favorite seasons.

There was a time in these forums were people misused the word Immersion and now whenever I see it I get annoyed along with "realism in a fantasy game" lol
