All I'm reading here is "Waahh why don't we have it? I want it now!"
A basic Chinese dress for the Chinese version of the game is hardly a "creativity beat down".
Why are they getting different stuff anyways?
Please explain that to me I can understand different monsters because of maybe rules but clothing and other stuff that might not wouldn't be fair to everyone else because everyone pays a sub fee.
Would not be right to leave everyone out like that.
That's like saying oh you all get this BMW but they get a Lamborghini Huracan
And you both paid same price. All I'm reading here is "Waahh why don't we have it? I want it now!"

While I certainly wouldn't call it a "creative beat down," it's not to have a little salt when our past two seasonal events awarded reindeer hoofs and monkey helms-- essentially joke equipment.
Exactly, they didn't get the Thavnairian Bustier due to decency laws and this is their alternative.I would kill allllllllll the lalafells for it. But, I believe thats meant to be the Korean/Chinese version of the Thavnarian buster (Aren't the Countries mentioned above a bit picky about revealing clothing?) Course I could be wrong. It'd be a bit unfair if EU/NA got both of the unique costumes while Korea and China got one.
Whenever something new comes out elsewhere, or us hinted at somewhere the cry is GIVE ME NOW FOR MONEY! Nobody steps back and thinks "Hmm, maybe we'll get this in the future as part of the game". The result was the Cash Shop & a lack of incentive to come up with better in-game content.
The reason we get pretty crap gear for events nowadays is because SE know they can charge for "better" gear & that there's no point trying to keep people waiting, excited about the new items they've seen, because the result is endless demands that planned future content is introduced NOW! The only way to do that for something originally planned as event gear is to put it in the Cash Shop. For all we know, these items could be future event items or veteran rewards; getting them now means something will have to be rushed in to take their place. Less time means less innovation.
Despite people constantly bemoaning this evil conspiracy narrative, Square has yet to actually do it. The Cash Shop has primarily been a dumping ground for old seasonal events. The only exception is non-canon cosplay outfits and Sleipnir. Mayhaps we should wait to see if they ever actually exploit the Cash Shop before presuming they will? It's been over a year with no evil plans underway.Whenever something new comes out elsewhere, or us hinted at somewhere the cry is GIVE ME NOW FOR MONEY! It baffles me that so many people are troubled by cash shop items. How does it really affect your personal game play? Is it envy, or do people enjoy lording unattainable items over others? I'm betting its the latter.
You forgot a few things: Advanced eternal bond, hairstyles, exclusive mount reskins, fantasia, to name a few things. First it started with just fantasia, then old event items, then exclusive dyes for a while, then EB and sleipnir....notice a trend here?
They will continue to expand the cash shop and push the limits of customers because it is very profitable. They've been doing it already, slowly, to ensure people come to accept it as the standard and don't notice it as much. They've also announced less content per patch alongside more cash shop content being released.
I like this game, but it's pretty clear the direction things are going in.
Yes, it affects my gameplay. How? Because I like to work towards things I want in the game, not open my wallet and get them instantly.
You know the reason they got the pretty outfits? It's because it's a different game run by a different company.
It's also a game that had different laws than ours. For example, no skeleton mobs or gambling are allowed.
I would not be surprised if the gold saucer did not exist at all in their build.
it's nice to make national costume, but why can't we get one too? if they want to make exclusive content at least offer the same for all...
