210 BRD weapon a little lackluster?

I just wanted to point out how disappointed I was upon finishing the BRD relic. I hav eno issues with the grind, the crafting, the gil spent. My issue is with the base weapon damage of all three i210 weapons. An i200 bow has a weapon damage of 67, An i205 bow has a weapon damage of 68. Surely an i210 bow should stand out? yeah sure its only 1 WD but seriously, why bother with a 210 weapon at all? for 4DEX? Here's to hoping for a hot fix while the weapon is actually useful

You was disappointed upon -finishing- it?....you know there's various ways you could have seen this before hand, right? BRD weapons have been like this for sometime, with little to no jump in DMG for +5 ilvls.

not to mention that the BRDs Anima is the only one with BiS... i cant understand your disappointment...

4pts in Dex and 1 WD is still more damage than what your previous weapon gives unless the difference in secondary stats is too huge a loss for the 4 points in main stat. Also its a 210 weapon that you didn't even have to step foot in Savage to get, just merely casual play would get you the weapon in a few weeks. Don't expect they will 'hotfix' the weapon, they'll only nerf the process of getting it. Also it's only stage one of the relic, it's going to evolve anyways.

Throdan weapon has 68 WD, the relic/gordian/eso 210 have... 68 WD... so you are only gaining 4 DEX and crit and losing some det.

In terms of stat weights, you're gaining about 8 Dex over the Thordan one. And 5 vitality too! Its not too bad.

Machinists are the ones who really have to question whether its worth it... their Thordan weapon is actually a little stronger than the relic!

BRD and I think MNK have their relic as BiS as far as sub-stats are concerned, with DRG and esp MCH getting the poor end of the spectrum.

Unless you mean that the feeling of empowerment isn't there, but well...it's been like that for a long, long time with how much difference the substats do in the first place.

Read the post again. The relic and Gordian weapon AND 205 thordan weapon all have WD of 68. This is also known as a kick in the nuts to AS4 bards

Probably has to do with the inbetween nature of the Thordan weapon... I doubt this'll be an issue in the future.
