Lost our Free Company and House

I beseech my fellow adventurers,

I strongly believe the the current system for the Automatic Free Company Leadership Transfer needs to be reassessed.

• All the members of the Free Company should be givent he option to vote on who to replace the current leader if inactive for 45 days or more, or leave as is.
• The Free Company Leader who purchases the estate should posses the deed no matter what rank they are in the future. The gil invested by leaders like us are stepped on when the wrong person gets in command.
• The Criteria in which the automatic leadership transfer should have options or be turned off in general

Please read my story below.
The major problem here is that the automated system to replace a freecompany leader is just outrageous, the criteria it is also based on is insane. I created the freecompany Anteiku(http://anteiku.guildwork.com/) with my friends to enjoy our adventures as a team, we sought out to expand our group by inviting friends of friends and hence this is where the problem arose. I bought us a company house from another FC that was merging with a different FC, at the time there was absolutely no other plots for two years on balmung so I invested 22 million gil to purchase the fc from the other player, sent an envoy to relinquish it just in time for me to make my purchase before our neighbors ninja-bought it (they were camping the placard). I then spent many Earth hours into structuring the ranks, crafting/buying furniture which amounted to an additional 4 million gil, and created a community where can friends get together.

Sometime in September I had to take my leave from the game temporarily to deal with personal problems, work-study, high school, SATs, placement tests, and securing my future to support myself and continue paying the game's fees. I was completely unaware that there was a system that removes the leader after 45 days of inactivity. If you see my website I had my most trusted friend in second in command which was Member A (for privacy reasons) but the source of this chaos was a friend of a friend which was Member B who was online a lot more frequently than others and gathered everyday so I acknowledged his efforts and allowed him to be 3rd in command along with council members. One day Member A was offline and Member B took the liberty of replacing Member A. While I was away I kept in touch with all the members on social media, being told that this happened I was passively lenient because I had no idea he would be able to take my throne in just a couple days from then.

I came back as of 1/7/16 and Member B has not only destroyed my FC name (Anteiku and he changed it to Astra, took my house, kicked out half of the members, then the remaining to left because of their hatred toward him, and he refuses to return my FC back.

I spent a lot of f***ing man hours into this game to earn enough gil on Balmung, to found this FC, and bring friends together.
I am pissed but what's done is done. There are many members who can stand up to tell the tale and some even went as far as remaking the FC and asking me to go with them. They got together to remake the former FC because they just couldn't stand Member B.

Member B may have been the most active member, but that ABSOLUTELY does not mean he is worthy of being leader.
In all honesty my FC would have been better off WITHOUT the automatic leader replacement. Some argue it is the leader's responsibility to be on, well I had structured a firm hierarchy in which in my absence the second in command takes complete control over the FC and is only given to the most trusted member (Ive known Member A for many years). If the second in command was inactive then the third in commands will take over as a republic since it included 3 or more members, and if all else fails the power to decide whether the FC wants a new leader or not should be voted upon by each and every member.

If I had still been leader even while inactive, the FC wouldn't have died out and people would have been happy. The current system has failed us. Great game but terrible welcome back celebration for me, for me to see my hard work has gone down the drain.

To start off I want my F***ing gil back, I can then start over and save up enough to repay my members who had to work extra hard just to buy a small house and start over with the remade Anteiku
My FC is dead, I would love to have it back but there's nothing left for me. I asked my former members if they would return if I got my FC back and they were reluctant since they already invested their time and money in other places.
The whole point of the hierarchy numbering system should be to employ each rank's jurisdiction to ranks below their own.
a rank 10 should not be able to override a rank 2's power.

I am a leader. I don't simply indulge members with fun, I lead them to their goals. Anteiku was a goal, many people loved Tokyo Ghoul and the whole theme was loved. For it to be renamed to Astra and rank names all changes, the FC isn't Anteiku anymore, it's a lost cause.

I feel for you. If you haven't done so already, I'd see if you could talk to a GM in game, otherwise I don't know what else they can do. If the Leadership switch works like you say it does, it should probably get looked at, and possibly be revised.

On a side note, I to am from Balmung, and I have seen the ASTRA tag around, and I hope they enjoy it, because they've made a pretty bad name for themselves in the hunting community as of recently. I'd say up near the ranks of Rare X in terms of early pulling and such. I for one have removed anyone with the tag from any linkshell I control/have power in, related to any content. I am truly sorry overall, and hope that you can rebuild.

My heart goes out to you and it's horrifying to imagine what went on and the FC splitting apart.

Don't even put ppl on a rank that has chance of succession if you don't acknowledge them to have the chance (for better or worse!)
But you did so... It is your mistake in hindsight tbh.

I thought that if a FC member enters the FC house, he resets the time for demolition.

Wrong, it's something players have been begging SE for several years now to implement due to the housing crisis - the housing wards have been full of empty houses owned by people who left the game ages ago and never bothered coming back. This is a way to recover such wasted resources.

As for FC ownership automatically transferring, again that was because players requested it (I still remember several threads in the past by players asking for such a feature due to their FC owners disappearing and the members not wanting to abandon everything they had put into their FCs).

Once again, SE are just trying to keep everyone happy by actually granting what players want, really they may as well not bother as it's always wrong, or someone will be upset or inconvenienced.

EDIT: annnnd... looking back on this I could have worded this a little more tactfully than I did, so I'm sorry Blazing Phantom. Either way, I'm sorry to hear about what happened to you, but again as I mentioned, this system SE only implemented after a long time of discussion and planning, it was not something they simply chucked into the game as a knee jerk reaction. No matter how SE implements it, someone is liable to find some way to exploit it and abuse it accordingly, and the innocent will suffer even more.

There is no easy way to solve this problem I'm afraid, other than if you need to leave the game for an extended period and run a FC with a house, arrange with someone you really trust who you know is not going to do a runner with the house/FC and have them house sit for you. Being on Balmung with such a high demand for housing only encourages such exploits, compounding the problem too sadly.

Anyways, leadership automatic transfer takes 35 days, and automatic demolition takes 45 days... how did it happen? Did it transfer to another inactive member?

So I've heard lmao, coincidentally the house is right next door to RareX and I wouldn't blame you. While I was demanding compensation for the FC from him (in a polite logical yet scheming tone) he brought up how his day has been n said more ppl left the FC just bc of what hes doing which is that he tries to get to marks before anyone just so he can solo it.

Life truly does go on, since I got back I'm mainly a casual leveling and relic grinding player now as appose to hardcore and server first back in the days. IMO Coil was ALOT funner and worth the time invested, main reason why I took a long break was because Alex gave my static so much issues since it began. I disbanded it.

But... What happened to the house after 45 days? I mean, if leader is given to someone else after 35-45 days, do the house "explode" with it, too?

He took over the FC and hence the house as well, if its 35 days I stand corrected, I was gone for 2-3 months.
