The issue with transpose is, once you have F3, B3, and enough MP it's useless. If you manage your MP right you can keep going from Astral 3 to Umbral 3 just shy of running out of MP. I only touch transpose now if the fight ends while I still have astral up and need MP back.

I use it with Flare and when I'm in UI and I got a Firestarter proc....
though I'm no BLM.
