It's just faster to come back to Fire 4 Yeah, me too I have to learn how to use Aetherial Manipulation, but on PS4, it's a pain. Or I just don't understand how to use it well with the controller.
Sometimes it's better to take the AoE to the face. The trick is finding out which ones you can eat, and which ones you can't.
Like I know I can finish this cast and then cast Manaward/Manawall to not die when the AoE hits and continue casting.

Using the Proc can be good to either refresh AF3 (best case) or get to casting an F4 faster from UI (still good). But using Sharpcast after F3/Enochian before F4 becomes available to cast to let you use Convert->F3 proc->F4->Swiftcast F4 is awesome.

Bascially, (from UI3, otherwise it's better to F3 first then Enochian so you don't lose 2 seconds of Enochian)->Enochian->F3->SC->F4->F4->F1->F4->F4->Convert->F3(from Proc)->F4->F4->B3->(T1-optional if you have 6+ seconds left on Enochian)->B4 is ideal.

Right now for Aetherial Manipulation, I just macro'd it to go to nearest party member.
