You may want to make sure you are targeting the mob the tank is. Also this is why quelling strikes is used for blm. But was does everyone but you dying have to do with the time it takes you to regain mp? You aren't the healer. And it's not lime you can't cast spells during this time. You just stick to any spells but ones that give you Astral fire stacks during the mp regen phase.

Also how is everyone but the blm alive if you are the one grabbing aggro? Logic says if you grab aggro, you die first. Or the tank has died and you are second on the list, you die second. But you you grab aggro and then the tank dies, it is likely because you targetted a mob that is not the primary, then the haeler had to juggle you and the tank, resulting in a wipe with an inexperienced healer. Given your lack of understanding of the job, it is likely that you are part of the cause of the wipe.

Also its not that you aren't using the "optimal" rotation for your job, you are using a terrible one. In this game you can't just do a random rotation and end up with 90% of the damage of the optimal one, the design does not allow for it. You end up with really really bad dps.

Honestly, if you have been playing games for 20 years and throw that around, you should be able to figure this simple stuff out. That you are throwing it around while defending such an ignorant rotation and reasons for it just means you haven't learned all that that experience should teach you. Also with an aging gamer population, you should consider that that benchmark isn't a very good one to throw about, you will have many who have been gaming for 30+ on these forums. Actually, the only thing that much experience can really teach you is which way to hold the controller, and that you should read the tooltips.
