Just remember that there is no right way to style on the forums. That's the real lesson to take from this thread.
It's my forum subscription, I'll post how I want!

A thread with no lesson, has a lot of lessons.
Threadception.
A twist on my pet peeve in this game. "I'm an adult, so I have a life and don't have time to learn to properly play my class".
First my credentials: I'm a 30+ year gamer. My first console was an Atari 2600, and my first PC was a Commodore 64. I actually put quarters in a machine to play Pac-Man and Centipede. I remember the hype when Mortal Kombat first appeared. Also, I was in band and an Eagle Scout, so I was the attempted target for bullies.
Now my advice, grow the frac up. You are at least 25, and not a high school band geek. If you're too stubborn to take advice from experienced (experienced not big headed bullies) players, then the problem is you and not the community. Most players could care less if your a bad player in dungeons as long as you're trying. But you're not even attempting to attempt to try.

As entertaining as this thread was to watch it seems some simple concrete proof would be all that's needed to settle this. Just make a video showcasing killing a certain mob with a reasonable sample size (around 10~) with the suggested fire->transpose, fire->blizzard->fire->blizzard, and straight blizzard. You may be able to deny what text may appear on your screen but a picture is worth a thousand words and a video is worth a million.
And for the record, you are doing it wrong and nobody is trying to "bully" you. It seems like you have a kneejerk reaction to criticism perhaps due to negative experiences in your 20+ years of gaming but not every piece of criticism is aimed at hurting your feelings. Plus if you've been gaming for 20+ years you should be well old enough and have grown thick enough skin to get over it even if they did aim to insult you.

Oh man, this thread brought tears to my eyes with how much I laughed. Sadly though, I think I lost some IQ on the way from reading some of OP's responses.
The OP is a prime example why DPS gets crappier and you see more rage threads about how all DPS all crap in DFs. Because you got these people who are so dead set in the way they want to do crap and literally couldn't care less about their team, not open to any advice whatsoever. People were seriously giving you advice despite how troll this thread is and what do you do? Call them out for being a bully. If you're going to cry about every little thing because playing with other people obviously isn't your thing, better rethink playing an MMO. If you can't play with other kids, go play a solo player game where all the mean online bullies can't hurt your feelings.

SenseiSoriel, I really hope you read some of the truly helpful posts in here. Not just the ones saying UR DOIN IT WRONG LOL. You should be able to throw those sleeps out (I do know how helpful they can be sometimes, and I too have done that on a ranged mob that the tank is completely ignoring and so on), and still pour your mana completely into fire most of the time. The reason you want to stick with fire until you empty and then stick with blizzard until you fill is because astral fire and umbral ice will buff their respective damages, and when you level enough to get 2 or more stacks of those respective buffs, it will buff your damage even more. It will hinder you more and more later on if you keep switching between them because you spend time in the null buff zone where ALL of your spells are doing less damage than they could be. However, if you are just leveling to get swiftcast that is ok too. I hope to see you healing sometime![]()

If you TRULY understand games from 20+ years of gaming, you should know not all games are created equal. Something that is the norm in other MMOs isnt the norm in all MMOs. You gotta be dynamic and alter your play style for each game. Also if someone tells you something bluntly, its not always an order. Sometimes we dont have time to tip-toe around peoples sensitive egos, and just want to get a point across.
Also, way to tell people they fail at being human. Real mature. Throwing insults at people who didn't insult you, A friggin +
The problem is the community! The problem is the community! is what you scream, and then insult people instead of setting a good example and keeping things civil. You and your over sensitive knee jerk reaction ego is the problem.

OP doesn't care about advice.
BLM/Thaum is not a toolbox. They have one tool. It's a hammer. You hit things as much and as hard as you can. (Post 40 none of your other spells work anyway-which is stupid, I agree).
Sleep doesn't work. Lethargy doesn't work. They literally do zero things besides waste time as enemies 40+ will resist them, all the time. So it's not even worth crutching on them at low levels as it will just make you a worse player.
OP, The reason your group dies is because you don't kill things fast enough, draining the TP and MP of your party members as they have to make up for the damage lost from you.
At Level 60, B1 does 600 damage, F1 Does 1400 damage when pumped with AF3. They have the same cast time. So with your "playstyle" the other team members have to put out 43% more damage EACH to just keep pace. Even more if you are swapping Blizzard and Fire. As your Fire would do 300 damage instead of 1400 your way. (I realize the actual numbers are different at your level, but the %change will be the same). So you were too hard for your group to carry.
I'd be frustrated too playing with you. Transpose will fill your mana in 6-9 seconds. While it's filling you can cast Blizzard.
Sadly BLM do not have utility. They are single target nukers. Decent group AoE. They are not healers and they are not support.
If you want to play your way, without trying to get better (running with Full->empty->Full mana) just find your own group with PF and don't subject your playstyle on innocent DF people.
They didn't do anything to have to deserve to play with someone who is purposely not helping.
Advice on jobs going forward. Try and figure out what you're supposed to do as each job. Then read about them. How best to do them.
