After being 60 for a few months I guess, and I only just got my 6th F4 in yesterday. The rotation is easy to understand but there's zero room for error. The constant juggling and dodging mechanics means you have to improvise all the time. I tend to err on the side of refreshing enochian unless it's almost off cooldown.

Do remember that you need PIE party buff to have enough mana for 6xF4 unless you're a pesky Dune Lala. Or get a mana tick after F3, but don't count on that.

But using Sharpcast after F3/Enochian before F4 becomes available to cast to let you use Convert->F3 proc->F4->Swiftcast F4 is awesome.

It's also better to use FS - swift F4 - convert - F4 - F4 in that scenario, so you don't lose time for spell animations between casts.

You won't have enough to cast two after Flare. The first rotation doesn't use up ALL of your MP. So the 2100 or whatever you get from Convert adds to your NON zero amount of MP giving you enough MP to cast 2xF4 and 1xB3.

I love that this turned into a discussion on optimal BLM rotation and dealing with mechanics, and it's been helpful to me as I haven't touched BLM since 60 and hitting a dungeon and repeatedly dropping Enochian.

Ok, I got it! No, I don't want to cast F4 two times after Flare. It's just the MP I get using Convert didn't seems to me enough to cast 2xF4, but it makes sense if after first rotation, using Convert give me enough MP to cast 2xF4. But we have enough time to cast all this (F4->F4->F1->F4->F4->Convert->F3(from Proc)->F4->F4->B3->B4) without losing Enochian? Is it the case we need a lot a piety? If yes, do I go only with this rotation :

You need a swift cast in the top rotation. And even then it's pretty tough to get through without dropping enochian. You need a PIE buff to get the 6th in there, you may need Spell Speed too, I'm not 100% comfortable with the 6th F4 yet so I can't be certain the total requirements. I just know sometimes I can do it.
But without buffs you can get 5 F4s no problem.

So Enochian->F3->SC->F4->F4->F1->F4->F4->Convert->F3 proc->F4->B3->T1->B4 (use Swift on the next rotation to get an extra F4)

I also like to F3->F4->F1->F4x3 in the second rotation instead of doing F3->F4x2->F1->F4x2. It seems smoother to me, though you may not be able to get a 5th in there with swiftcast if you haven't used it yet.

I liked this even though I am on the way to main a Bard. Mainly cause I have same problem. People complain about my playstyle or the fact I 'adept to the situation' Example:

I was in DV again after a very long time so I had to remember the mechanics. Which I did quite fast, anyway we reach the last boss and I forgot it attacks with a whirlwind in the middle. Now I stayed at the side AWAY from the gryphon so when the attack came I was not near a rock. However I ADAPTED. I went to outer part of the area and kept running there during the attack receiving ZERO damage, much like when you hide behind a rock... YET they complained. What does it matter? I mistook situation but got away without receiving damage.

Let people play their class the way they want. Give advice but do not hammer on it. This ruins the fun for the player. Everyone out there brave enough to TRY other ways: Keep it up, be you and get the most out of your class you can muster!

If that is the case there are plenty of solo games out there to play.

But coming into an MMO and telling everyone that you are allowed to play any way you want, even if it means disregarding the playstyles, time and enjoyment of the rest of your party is just bad form and generally come from selfish individuals who want to blame 'elistism' instead of realizing that they are usually the ones in the wrong. If you are learning, that is fine, take the advice others give, but using the "it's my way, screw you" argument is extremely childish and just as, if not more elitest than those you come to complain about.
