well, the developers definition of casual = people who are unable to do difficult contentThe relic itself isn't casual friendly at all. We seem to have a very skewed definition of what a casual player is. A casual player plays a maximum of 6-8 hours a week. They're the kind of player that logs in for an hour at the end of the day and maybe runs a roulette or two. If you play more than that, you're not a casual player, no matter how "casual" you deem your play style. The relic grind is intended for what is ACTUALLY a hardcore player, despite whatever arbitrary definition of hardcore you want to use.
casual friendly = mindless grinds with 0 difficulty for every solo player

They never called it casual friendly.
Its for people who are not into raids or want to play solo that is straight from Yoshi P.this content is strongly geared towards the element of time for players who are not into raids or other difficult content, or for those who wish to play solo

I was expecting the materials part to be quite pricey on Leviathan, and based upon discussions from my FC mates I was not surprised. It's why I haven't progressed past the "Awakened Brionac" part. I still haven't recovered from getting my Zeta, which had cost me over 8 million gil on the last two phases alone. And, sadly, I don't even have the gil to tip my friends & FC mates for helping me.
So I'm holding off on progressing further on this relic until I have enough gil.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.

Well if it was 8 million i for sure will wait until prices are lower, or stuff gets nerfed.
Previous Relic (Novus Stage) my Bard Relic cost over 4 mil, same was the case for my blm at the time. This was mats only, not the other steps that required more $$$
It's not like the weapon is godly, if you have Thordan, Savage weapon or yes even eso is all you really need for the current content.
Or do some race to complete it just to put it in peoples face? lol

The sad part of that is that that amount of gil I spent wasn't from when Zeta was just released. I got my Zeta shortly before the Anima relic was released.
I have been casually observing material & materia prices since Heavensward launch onwards & while prices dropped like boulders at launch (especially with materia), they have been steadily increasing back to their pre-expansion listings. And not just on Leviathan, but Behemoth & Lamia, too.

Yeah, crafters typically get the last laugh with these sort of things
The whole purpose of the relic was to make higher level weapons a little more accessible so it kinda sucks to see some players gated behind a paywall like this![]()

8m on Sarg. Cause the stuff is gated by specialists you still pay a ton even if you have all your crafts leveled. Having my crafts leveled saved me like 3m out of 8m since you can't make everything.
Yeah cousin told me he'll stick to the 200 weapons until next major patch since relic will basically go obsolete again that he isn't spending the Gil to line someones pockets for just a few extra damage.
Not even worth it.
I seen the prices and sure I would buy singles but they always stack 4 so I decided also to not purchase. 200 weapon is good enough when I get it.
The ones who are buying it well cool you do few extra damage than everyone else like it matters lol
