Can we please stop locking content out of DF?

Might as well put all content in the game honestly in DF. The game is designed for it, leaving anything out is stupid.

"I don't want to wait" is pure laziness. PF is intended to have people build learning parties, not DF. Real life? Please... My team mate has his own daughter, wife, etc, and he easily has time to raid for 3 hours, 4 days each.. Real life is just a poor excuse for not raiding unless it's your job that takes all the time to your life.

Really? JP seem to have been far more successful compared to western side going with that system and SE agrees with it.

Perhaps if I lived in Japan and wasn't American I would care a lot more about that statement. They have an entirely different culture then ours, so much different that I may go over and study it myself because it seems very interesting. However, that doesn't really matter because their culture is far more social then ours, so DF is an excellent tool for us.

Americans will always pick the quickest and easiest way to do something. We are a culture of efficiency and laziness.

The only way to make the statement true here, would be to completely remove Duty Finder and FORCE everyone to use Party Finder.

I agree with Archael let us get over 'difficulty' and into implementation since 'difficulty' would just be a thing for any party.

From a design (e.g. party comp) and community standpoint (overall willingness to take on challenging DF content) it's just not practical.

NM was a good opportunity to make something accessible yet still somewhat challenging as a way to draw people into raiding. With i190 rewards, something closer to Ravana in difficulty would make sense. However, history has shown SE enough times what would happen (Thornmarch, Steps, The Vault, etc.) so they knew to just make it faceroll easy instead to avoid the inevitable outcries for a nerf. With that kind of scenario to consider, the reasoning of "I don't want to use PF" is hardly going to persuade SE that Savage in DF is a good idea.

As for Extremes, I'd be indifferent to those being in DF straight away, considering they've done it before.

Yes, the mentalities aren't the same and its that difference which SE has to account for when trying to make content accessible to as many people as possible. A surefire way to do this is by making said content non-challenging, even more so when thats the feedback they get when they try to go outside of that. That's why the actual DF raid is easy as hell to do, because they were told by players they wanted a raid that would allow them to see the story.

In fact, I don't see why this thread is even a thing. SE's already given the message to this request: if players want raids in DF, NM (and VA) levels of difficulty are what they're gonna get. If you want more, then be prepared to put in work or wait for it to end up in DF, once its gained the traditional nerfs and crutches.
