Bard and Machinist should have a limit break indicator.

I think it's unfair that black mages and summoners have an aoe limit break indicator but we don't. We should be able to see the exact trajectory and range of the limit before using it. We shouldn't have to guess, when they changed that for mages long ago.

As it stands, I'm afraid to use mine because if the angle I'm facing is slightly off, it's going to fire off in the wrong direction and completely whiff. It's happened multiple times. It's very sensitive about the exact angle you're facing.

    >lock on
    >hit LB
    >pray tank doesn't move like a dummy

Is what I do. Locking on first makes sure I'm at least always facing the mob until the animation lock, which is like...a second before the beam goes off.

If you're targeting the mob, doesn't it go right at it? However, I do agree that it would be nicer with a way to adjust it how you like. Would make for much more satisfying lined up damagings.

Hmm it goes whichever way you are facing. Which... can be hard to aim on certain bosses.. sometimes I've shot it... had my character randomly turn 90 degrees right at the anime lock... saw the animation go off, firing in the wrong direction, but the boss still got hit for the max dmg.

Other times, I've seen the beam directly hit the boss.. but no damage occur... its buggy.

My favorite time was during Arboretum, I lock on the boss, line it up, fire...and at the last moment I was charmed and I start running towards the the sprout as it fires :'(
    No boss damage.

every time i've used it, it required me to have a target and it would go straight towards that target even if they move.

The problem is that the Bard/Machinist LB is AOE. Hitting the one target you're locked on to is no problem, but if you're using it appropriately (namely to hit more than one target), judging the range and angle can be difficult while also trying to deal with the mechanics of the fight itself. It's ridiculous that there's no marker for the ranged. Even worse is that everyone else in the party can actually see the ground marker when a BRD/MCN LB goes off--except for the BRD/MCN. Poorly thought out completely. -.-

It's sad though...Machinist LB every time...vault second boss hits it head on and he takes no damage....like at all.

Every AoE that need a target don't have a ground marker.

The only way to change it for Bard and Machinist would be to make their LB a ground AoE, where you target the ground and not an specific enemy.
