The point is Squeenix doesn't want you to no life grind out that ridiculous amount of tomes in like, two days or whatever.

So you want i200+ weapons, but are not actually running any content harder than dungeons? i180 is completely fine.
SE has already given plenty of options to upgrade your weapon. You want something stronger? Beat stronger content. Simple. You don't need a FC to run things. Join a LS, start a LS, PUG, make friends outside your FC, encourage your FC to challenge stronger content.
No one is saying 'You can't have this'. I've just given you 3 options to get what you want.....And I really don't understand the mentality of this Forum, why are people so eager to say YOU CAN'T HAVE THIS, I mean is this system going to negatively impact any of you people's game play? It's meant to encourage people to try other jobs, and benefit people who already have tons of jobs.
Plus learning new job is fun. While people complaint they are bored, they can try to level another job. Having a system like this will only be more inviting, not discouraging.
SE has given you what you want: A way to get i200 weapons by grinding i145 dungeons. However....#TimeGate. You want more faster? Than you're going to have to work. Easy content needs to be time gated if it's giving rewards equal to that of challenging content. If not? Why bother with challenging content? People like rewards.

Go back and read my original post, I said EVENTUALLY introduce this system because there will be MORE JOBS TO LEVEL AND GEAR. Don't twist the subject. The current system will be extremely omni job un-friendly later down the road. Especially if they are not going to share gears between jobs.No one is saying 'You can't have this'. How does adding more jobs alter anything? You'll still have ungated options to obtain weapons, and gear. YOUR issue seems to be 'I cant spam i145 dungeons to gear all my jobs in i200. How dare you make me do real content for my rewards'. You want to play multiple jobs and have greater utility? Than you have to work harder.Go back and read my original post, I said EVENTUALLY introduce this system because there will be MORE JOBS TO LEVEL AND GEAR. Don't twist the subject. First of all, I've never even come close to suggest HOW DARE YOU XXXXXX, don't pull cheap shot like that. How does adding more jobs alter anything? Secondly I don't know if you refuse to see it or you just can't comprehend it. If there's no scaling, as more jobs gets introduced the amount of time required to level and gear will increase. That's a fact, by the next expansion, if they introduce 3 more jobs you'll require 30% more grinding compare to now. And the expansion after that it'll require 60% more grinding compare to now. These are FACTS. The hours in a day doesn't increase. So you don't get more time, but you get more grind, there will be physically NO TIME.
You understand it's already stupid easy and stupid fast to get i190 gear and weapons, right....? i200 takes a little bit more work, sure, but it's not really as much effort as your making it out to be.First of all, I've never even come close to suggest HOW DARE YOU XXXXXX, don't pull cheap shot like that.
