So I was chatting with a FC crew about max level all jobs and gearing them, and how leveling is already a grind stretched longer than half a year. Then gearing them properly with the weekly cap before the currency becomes outdated is impossible.
I know right now it may not seem too overwhelming, but yoshi p said the next set of jobs introduced will not have a story gate and will be available right away, which means they'll probably start at level 1. Unless they can give people who's got level 60 jobs a level boost. The issue here is at Realm Reborn we have 10 jobs (DoW/DoM), the Heavensward boosted that to 13, and if the next expansion doesn't break trend then we'll have 16 jobs to level and gear. Of course gear wise tanks/healers/casters can share which is very nice. Now I'm just taking a wild guess, Samurai will probably have their own gear, Red Mage MAY have their own gear, so on top of monk dragoon and ninja, we'll have more variations of gears. What's more, ultimately the item that matter the most (weapon) will never be shared, and they are friggin' expensive if you want to buy 16 of them.
I hope the devs will eventually introduce a scaling system where the first 2 jobs you level will be full requirement for exp to level. And the tome currency required will be 100% to gear up. And the exp requirement to level and the currency requirement to gear will drop as the player level more jobs. I can't speak for crafting and gathering since I don't know if they'll introduce more classes for those, so for now I'd say this system is probably not appropriate for DoL and DoH.
Basically the housing value reduction system but use X amount of jobs maxed out instead of time to trigger the reduction.

The thread is not to complaint about getting end game equipment takes effort and I just want a free handout or FU SE.
Patch 2.0 have 10 Jobs, Patch 3.0 have 13, which increase the amount of time for an Omni Max Level player to level and gear by 30% REGARDLESS ON CONTENT. Say if you want to get your weapon through Raid, instead of getting 10 weapons, now you need to get 13. And say max leveling all your jobs takes 10 month, without some sort of scaling it'll take 13 month for a new player.
And say patch 4.0 drops and SE adds another 3 jobs, compare to 2.0 for an Omni Max Level player to level and gear is now increased by 60% REGARDLESS ON CONTENT. So instead of getting 10 weapons you'll need to get 16 weapons, and instead of taking 10 month to level it'll now take you 16 month with no scaling.
It doesn't matter what content you decide to grind, the effort will be increased as SE add more jobs.
