I found the Vanu Vanu dailies to be the most disappointing... Most of them didn't even really involve much of anything (lots of "Go get my dinner" quests), and I left none the wiser as to what the antagonistic tribes motivation was...

With the Amalj'aa, you got a good sense of the honor they'd traded in when they summoned Ifrit. The Sylphs directly tell you what they think of Gridania with the quests where you have to un-glamour them (and promptly murder them...). Novv was absolutely amazing, and even the Kobold quests painted a good enough picture of the ridiculous society they have going on.

Ixali were much the same as Vanu Vanu though, but their quests gets bonus points for the Azys Lla connection, still I don't know anything more about the Ixali in general from those quests... Vanu Vanu at least gave us another look at their culture I guess, but I still have no real clue about the Vanu Vanu in general... They're fat and greedy I guess? Kind of disappointing if that's it, I'd have liked to learn more about the Vundu, but instead got nothing.

Got a bit more hope for the Gnath though, since with the One Mind they can hopefully touch upon such wonderful topics as free will and individuality. Going to be pretty peeved if instead we just have quests helping them try out different types of fruit or something... I'd hope the main conflict from their quests stems from within, with them all having lots of disagreements as a result of their new found individuality.

The Amal'jaa (the traditional ones anyway) have a pretty admirable code of honor.
I'm not a big fan of the whole honor thing, and the family business with the Sahagin didn't pique my interest either; and don't even get me started on the whole "power of dance" thing.

The lazy underachiever Kobolds were something I kind of wanted to know where they'd go with it, but not enough to spend actual daily time on.

What are the Sylphs quests about? I was too annoyed from their behaviour in the MSQ so I never even tried doing their quests.

I liked the Ixal because it was all about following your dreams and working towards a common goal no matter which race/family background/etc. you have
Seeing them finish their airship before HW hit was something I wanted to achieve ^^

You find out how they're grown from pods and you have to rescue the Sylph Messiah (or some such) from being corrupted by Ramuh's Sylphs, since they control the grove that all Sylphs grow in. Also, Sylphs more or less live short lives, but leave behind a sort of seed that will grow into a new Sylph later on, and they're genderless, but take names toward a gender they more or less identify with. Lots of little tidbits, but no largely overarching thing like the Amalj'aa's focus on honor or the Sahagin's family-based society.

There is also the final quest chain when you have maxed out all the beast tribe stories which brings your beast tribe allies together which also lets us know the Ashcrown Consortium is still in operation.

I dunno, I liked the Vanu quests. You were helping them build a new community and grow into the role of independent leadership. although mostly I just really wanted to be able to Haka

I've been doing the Kobold/Amaljaa/Sahagin quests for the Relic, and the Sahagin are probably my favourites of those, followed closely by the Amal'jaa. I'm completely in agreement with CyrilLucifer about the Kobolds though; while endearing (especially the Bomb Alchemist), I ultimately only had the most tenuous grasp of why I was bothering to help their lazy butts at all, and that resolution seems vaguely disappointing as well. Thank god for those Titan Cobaltpieces! But enough of them have been enjoyable enough, and I like the Gnath enough, that I'll probably be on board for this.

I think the Ixali quests were my favourite, followed by the Sahagin and Amaljaa. The sylph were the worst, because for quite a few of the daily quests I felt like I was enabling a drug habit.

Maybe a team of Gnaths will carry us from place to place while running at high speeds, or a hot-air balloon.

You KNOW we are going to help them try different kinds of food. Personal taste is also a form of individuality so there is a big chance we will be helping at least one Gnath get his hands on every single type of edible (and not so edible) matter in the forelands.

Personally, I thought the worst part of the Vanu quests was the vendor rewards. For as long as it took to get to max rank, there wasn't a lot of items available from the vendor NPC.

I actually WISH for the duo from the leveling quests to make an appearance again
Those two who were always arguing wether fruits or meat was tastier.
