Okay then I'd say that Dragonflies are likely. Still think the Gaelicats and Dinos would be more likley, and I forgot the Miacid mobs as wellDragonflies, if I recall, are not sentient. (Actually I'm always unsure how this word is used in these discussions) Dragonflies are in the same hierachy as drakes, biasts, archaeosaurs etc within the Dravanian Horde iirc.
Likewise, we have a couple sentient mounts (wyvern, Midgardsormr, Maggie[?]), so I don't think this would bar a creature from being mount-fodder.

I'm hope it's a bug of some sort...don't mind which, flying on wamoura would be cool though.

Hope it's a giant cockroach that flies. Let it be a unique model, like the bomb palanquin!
Dragonflies are Dragon-kin, and the Gnath hate them, so they won't be their mount.
Damselflies, on the other hand...I could see them being a mount, or pulling a cart of some sort. (These are found in the Hinterlands, and Lost City, and the South Shroud as the Monarch Ogrefly B-rank)
I don't see butterflies being part of it, because they are more connected to Ravana, and the Vath also don't like their Primal.
I'm still leaning towards a cart-like mount (like the kobolds) or a new mob (like the Sahagan)

Flying ant

Just pitching an idea:
Maybe its a type of insectoid beast of burden from the depths of the Gnath stronghold? It could be a beetle reskin of the goblin tank. That one already flies with bug like wings.
They could be a part of the gnath hivemind, and through helping the nonminds we could liberate them. Explaining why we would have to do alot of work grinding rep to finally get one for ourselves.

Since the developers love giving XI enemies the HD treatment;
Bonus points if they keep the backwards foot, or address it in some way.

They actually added this model recently, most people thought it would be used for the XI event, but it wasn't. It's actually a reasonable assumption, given that. They fixed the foot (and in XI, too after the XIV modelers apparently got their hands on it. It only took them 13 years).

Actually, the artwork for the Kobold mount was shown months ahead of its release and it was pretty easy to guess that would be used.
As for the Gnath, considering that they made themself some sort of firearms a mechanical mount wouldn't be too farfetched. Though personally I expect some sort of flying bug.
