No matter what fight u put into the game... Whm/Sch will always be taken first over AST for progression raiding....once they cleared it and know the fight and got gear... Then u will aee ast added to the raid...

And yes an AST solo healed AS3 this does not mean that the jobs is fine .... I remember back in 2.X where a SCH solo healed titan EX but the class needed still needed attention

Im sorry but all 3 healers needs to be looked at .. The most being SCH they have it far too good and needs to be tone down... I will get flamed for this because players dont want there precious sch to get nerfed.. Its either nerf SCH or MEGA buff N-Sect AST.... Ur calll

Or as myself and others have suggested, stop making ast be a clone of whm and sch. Whm can't shield as effectively like a scholar can, nor can a scholar whip out continuous regens and constant 650 potency heals.
AST has a powerful healing stance. Nocturnal should not be focused on healing. It should be decent healing but not as powerful as diurnal. nocturnal should help with the group's dps and quality of life. Everyone understands that time dilation and celestial opposition need a bonus effect in nocturnal. That's what devs need to look at.

So no I don't agree that ast need the healing aspect of their nocturnal stance increased.

No, you missed the point. My point was that Alexander Savage was designed with DPS checks as the barriers to progress. And so the healer that can output the most DPS will obviously be most sought after. WHM has the highest burst DPS, AST has the lowest but can buff others, and SCH has the best sustained DPS. As such the meta at the moment favours SCH more due to that. I wasn't saying that they made fights with only certain healers in mind, that would be rather silly.

For the record though, what skills exactly are ASTs lacking? Last time I checked they can fill the role of WHMs almost perfectly, and even SCHs. (Keep crying about Noct but it's still viable in the end game meta.)

Also, ASTs wanting absolutely everything on their job is getting a little tiring now. No one is 'better', people just need to learn to play with the job. A job being harder to play due to a lack of emergency CDs or whatever is NOT underpowered, it just requires you to be on the ball a bit more often. Not even MCHs, who have to bust their asses keeping on top of everything to get similar or sub-par DPS to BRDs, complain as much as ASTs. If anything, it ought to be WHMs complaining because ASTs are healing just as well while having buffing capabilities also.

And Hmm this is not a post to have everything as AST .. Its to fix ast i hate being compared to a damn WHM or a SCH due to sects acting like them

Also.. WHM is still king of healing due to cooldowns and well if everyone is close together Cure 3 owns all aoe healing

And SCH is king of reduce damage taken and provide decent dps to the group

So why take an AST? Yeah players are taking AST into savage now because everyone nearly got 210 gear.... But when progression is needed.... WHM and SCH will be picked again due to they are more reliable in everyway... Ast got good healing but is not reliable and this is the problem

Astrologian actually is the king of healing now. Synastry is the strongest healing cooldown hands down. Most mechanics in Alexander seem to line up nicely with synastry.

Players are taking AST into savage now because no one was happy with ASTs upon release. It was only after they got buffed that they were more viable, and by then a lot of groups had already formed. And Cure 3 is pretty irrelevant in Alex, it's hardly needed. Buffs like Synastry, which was just mentioned, are far better.

Anyway, the last point I made earlier was that all the blabbering about a job that is doing fine is annoying now. This was a thread for what SCHOLARS would like for their job in 4.0, and yet you even worm your way into here and cry about ASTs. There are loads of threads for you to cry in, please do it there and leave a small section of the healer forums in peace. Not every thread needs to become about how we can please the Astrologians.

I would kinda love to see a spiritbond skill between sch and their fearies (playing Beyond 2 souls again lately xD)... while its active (lets say 15s), the feary would take all the dmg the sch recieves while the skill is up. it would be really useful if the grp crumble and is near a wipe, giving you time to overview the chaos and react a bit more stressless - maybe it looks a bit op in the first place but well... we talk about wishes, right? ;p

It would be nice if Lustrate wasn't affected my Cleric Stance again....
