yeah, if you've got a nice PVE weapon you're pretty much fine there. for melee i believe one left side and one right side piece with acc as a secondary should get you what you need. it can be somewhat of a chore to get full BIS (for some jobs i don't even think it's possible), but having both PVP/PVE options definitely helps.
