Get a grip dude.
There are some classes you just cannot achieve your BiS stats without PvP gear. I see you also completely dodged the materia conversation, do you meld PvP materia to PvE gear too by any chance?

And I'm telling you there are some classes you just cannot achieve your BiS with PvP gear. PvP gear isn't the be-all of BiS with every job, so please stop trying to say it is. From my experience, there are more jobs which don't use PvP gear for their BiS than there are that actually do, so again... For the most part, PvP gear is irrelevant. As for your materia comment... I know you're just being condescending now, so I'm not even going to dignify this with a proper response.
If you missed the point of my post, that's fine. Just don't try to pull me down in the mud with you because your facts don't check out and you need someone to shoulder the blame with you.

BRD/MCH: The only head pieces with Crit+Det is either the i180 PvP or the i220 crafted and the ONLY hands is the PvP ones.
MNK: The only leg piece with Crit+Det is the PvP ones
NIN: Again, the only belt with Crit+Det is the belt
DRG: Feet? Better get the PvP one since that's the only one with Crit+Det.
BLM: Belt is the only Crit+Det, if Crit+SS hands.
SMN: Belt is the only Crit-Det.
PLD/DRK/WAR: The only body with Crit+Det is PvP.
You get my point. Missed off healers because of the preference on BiS.

>still thinking PvP gear is BiS instead of Midan gear
I lol'd
Not doing yourself any favors here. No one claimed PVP gear was BiS on all slots of all jobs. Nor has anyone claimed you could achieve BiS without the inclusion of any PVE gear. You seem to be distorting all comments directed at you if they don't match your perception of what BiS is. Perhaps your version of BiS does incorporate significant amounts of stats such as accuracy but that's not in line with what the vast majority of PVP players are trying to maximize in PVP. You basically went from saying all PVP gear is useless on all slots, to saying there are some slots you cannot achieve BiS without the use of PVE (which in turn is implying that some slots do have PVP gear as BiS for the purpose of pvp), back to all pvp gear is irrelevant. How can something be irrelevant yet be BiS on some slots for some jobs? Nobody is saying PVP gear is some godly all purpose gear, just that it does serve some purpose for some jobs. There's also no point in laughing at someone else's post when even more people probably laughed at your implication that materia melds on PVE gear actually do anything in pvp.

Resorting to meme arrows? Next you'll say you were only pretending, right?
Really though, there have been quite a few conversations on the forums regarding accuracy and the importance of secondary stats, but I still see many players who default to thinking that the pvp gear is just trash. A full set of it? Sure. Bits and pieces of them are still valuable. How much of a real impact having that small boost in secondaries makes I am not so sure of, but capping them out is pretty much the only "customization" of gear we get in this game and I like the i150 cap for that.
Would you like me to break down just how wrong you are? I'll even do Paladin since its your (declared) main.
A Paladin in full i240 Midan gear left side gets +259 Acc, +215 Crit, +225 Det +166 Sk Sp and +152 Parry. This will sync down to +140 Acc, +100 Crit, +68 Det, +64 SkSp and +80 Parry.
A Paladin in full i180 PvP Behemoth King left side gets +0 Acc, +157 Crit, +225 Det, +236 SkSp +0 Parry. This will be Morale boosted and then synced to +0 Acc, +156 Crit, +204 Det, +188 SkSp and +0 Parry
The i180 PvP Behemoth King set has 56 Crit, 132 Det and 124 SkSp over i240 Midan gear in PvP areas. A Paladin in full Behemoth King is far closer to PvP BiS than a Paladin in full Midan gear.

I was stating that you'd be better of melding materia on PvE gear overall since they were claiming this PvP gear was BiS, even outside of PvP, which is just absurd. The PvP gear itself is still irrelevant in some aspect, but if it as useful as some of these people seem to think it is, then I don't have a problem admitting to that, but just show me how it is and I'll believe it. I have yet to see this actually serve a purpose instead of wasting space, so until then, it might as well be irrelevant in PvP as well in that regard. Not doing yourself any favors here. Nah, I wish I was pretending. I wish I would have only pretended to open this thread in the first place, but alas... Hindsight is 20/20 after all. As for the actual usefulness of PvP gear... I have yet to see it be useful, so it is trash to me. If you've had a different experience with it though, that's great. They have been shoving accuracy down our throat a lot lately, so I understand that there may be other things you'd rather want instead, but until I actually see some kind of results of this fabled "BiS" PvP gear in action, actually making a difference, then I guess I'll keep "defaulting" to stating PvP gear being trash.Resorting to meme arrows? Next you'll say you were only pretending, right?

That's generally how these things go anyway. You can't simply assume people are going to believe you just because you say "Hey, this PvP gear is BiS for X job". Well, I'm sure some people would immediately jump to believing you, but I'm a pragmatist, so it might as well just be hearsay until I see otherwise on the battlefield.
Meanwhile, I've never seen a PLD wearing any PvP gear in The Feast (when running as my NIN), despite all of these claims. If things were as good as people claimed they were, then it would have been a staple by now. Hell, come to think of it... I rarely see any players wearing PvP gear in The Feast, even the ones in the top 5 and 10.Would you like me to break down just how wrong you are?

So, either these guys are behind the times or you guys are smoking something here. BiS is hardly debatable since whenever there is a BiS discussion, 9 times out of 10, players switch to those recommendations, but this time I have yet to see people follow suit. Now, this could just be a Primal thing, but again... Based on my own experience and what I've seen, this supposed "BiS" is nothing more than theorycrafting until I see people wearing it and actually showing results.
Until you have some concrete evidence to back up these claims, I'll direct you to the nearest wall so you can continue to argue until you're blue in the face. Hard to believe so many people in this thread alone apparently have all the "answers", yet nobody in-game knows them, heh. That alone makes this raise a red flag, but I'll leave it at that though since I'm done with the matter.

for 90% of the player base, PvP is just there when they have nothing else to do but for the people that prefer PvP over PvE, they minmax their stats and improve themselves.
There is no actual guide out there listing BiS gear for PvP while in PvE, there is plenty of guides. Ask any PvP player out there what gear you should be using and they will 100% reply with go with your two main stats and mix PvP gear with PvE
Want evidence? Here:Until you have some concrete evidence to back up these claims, I'll direct you to the nearest wall so you can continue to argue until you're blue in the face. and here:
The first two pictures show unsynced stats and the second two show i150 8v8 PvP synced stats.
