Yoshida stated in the previous feast post that the pairings would be within three rank tiers of each others for the sake of queue times (too much of a gap imo), but that your MORE LIKELY to be paired with similar ranks or the adjacent rank, but not guaranteed. So if your team and their team are the only ones queuing for 5-10min, the game would rather slap you with experienced teams two tiers above you just to get a match going.
