Exactly that's why I liked the second suggestion more than the first. With the first if the ability has a duration you can just stall and render the ability useless anyway. At least with the second option they could have more time to use hide effectively when its available (i.e does not have heavy medal status). Its a common tactic to stall like that, at least for me anyway when I'm in a match and I know I'm gonna be the focus of the enemies initial burst based on knowledge of the opponents tendencies from previous matches against me if I recognize them.
