Sorry Februs but the advantage given by morale back in the day was huge and should never be implemented that way again. Can we have some advantage on PVP gear ? Sure we definitely can do that, though the entire system of rewards needs an overhaul. Should it be Morale the way it was before? No.

I had a different experience with it. So long as I kept my PvE gear up to date, I never felt overly pressured by PvP geared players. That said, I never went out of my way to fight them one versus one, either. I admit that they were formidable. Caution was the name of the game whenever I saw them, but that didn't mean that I was helpless. I won just as many matches against them as I lost, so long as I wasn't playing recklessly or queuing up in gear that I knew full well was outdated.

That aside, Morale really doesn't have to be implemented the same way. There are lots of options, but completely deleting it is silly and wasteful. We already have useless PvP gear sets exactly because Morale has no function. If they want to delete Morale from the game, then they might as well get rid of the PvP vendors as well, because they currently serve no purpose to anyone other than crafters who de-synthesize the gear. On the flip side, if they want to keep Morale then we have to come back to UltimateCaliber's initial question:

Which is a completely fair (and honestly good) question, but it's also a slightly loaded one because a lot of players are unwilling to accept any of the things that would make the game truly competitive. Players want to optimize their gear sets but somehow don't want anyone to have an "unfair" advantage. That's kind of nonsensical, because any advantage provided to any player in a full PvP set (Morale related or otherwise) will automatically place them in an advantageous position over a player who doesn't have the same gear. There's no real way around that other than simply not having it ... but that would put us right back where we currently are, with useless PvP sets and a stockpile of Wolf Marks that we don't really have a need or use for.
