How will the team ranked work, have they said? Like you pre create a roster within a team and you rank up that team. Or you just q as 4 premade and achieve an "individual" rank for team ranked still? Meaning youre more flexible with how you queue and who you queue with.

They haven't gone into explicit detail on that subject yet, but it sounds as though it is purely individual, even in the 4 man ranked matches. By the way they've made this sound so far, both solo Q (ranked) and matched party Q (ranked) are handled the same way. Your win/loss is applied to your personal record. The only difference is how teams are formed. Solo Q will match you with 3 random players (first come, first served, I'm assuming). Matched Party will be a pre-made. In that way, they are kind of encouraging serious players to form their own teams, because you are increasing your odds of victory by playing with a group of people you know. Solo Q'ing is easier, as you don't need a pre-made party, but it's a bit of a gamble because you're playing with randoms.

That said, I don't think SE has clarified if Solo and matched Q's share lobbies (I may have missed it though). So we don't know if a full group of randoms can be matched against a pre-made group. If they can, then Q's will be faster. However, the pressure to have your own pre-made will be all the more, because the odds of winning against a pre-made with a PuG is much lower. If they cannot, then it's not a big deal. Solo Q'ers in random parties will be Q'ing up against more solo Q'ers in random parties. So it's just a roll of the dice as to who gets the better party. Odds are, the Solo and matched Q's will be distinct lobbies, though, to avoid match fixing.

Either way, the only way to actively stack the odds in your favour is to get together a good team and roll in the competitive matches against other pre-mades. If you want to improve your personal standing, I would advise using the Pre-season time to try and get together a party or join an active Linkshell for Feast.

    I was wrong.

The Preview for Feast was just released today. In it, they explicitly outlined the game modes and stated that Solo Q (4 v 4) will effect your solo rating:

    solo ratings will change.
For the party queue option, they said:

    Party ratings will change
I would assume that this means that we will have both party and individual rankings; however I do not know how these rankings will be handled. Party rankings, in particular are unusual, as I am not sure if this means you must queue with the same party every time, or if you simply register a party and can swap out the members of said party whenever you like. It did not say.
