Leveling miner and botanist.

Is leve quests the fastest way to level while doing turn in for gc? I'm asking because people Have told me to just gather and that doesn't seem to work well lol.

leves are way faster.. but gathering gives you lots of gil..p

so its a toss up really.

i favoured gathering myself but partly because i needed the mats at the time to help leve lcrafters after xpac landed.

and yes gc turn ins are totally worth your time or gil. whichever is most convenient for you to do as sometimes you may not have time to gather before turn in period ends.

GC hand ins are great, but only once-a-day for any given class.

Leves are your best bet up to 50 or so. Simply gathering stuff works well, but not quite as well as Leves.

Once you unlock Collectibles (50 or 51 I forget which) and flight in the various Heavensward zones, forget everything else, that is what you want to be doing. Aim at getting the highest quantity of the lowest collectability rating that you can hand in, for the most exp. IE - Old World Fig gets 60k exp at 240 Collectability, 66k at 400 Collectability, and 72k at 450 Collectability. You actually get more experience handing in three 240 Collectability OWFs than you do handing in two 400 Collectability OWF's. The same principle applies to all the Collectables you gather.

Leves are still good in the 50+ range - but not as good as Collectables. They do supplement Collectables though.

I agree with Roth. Spam leves until you unlock collectables then use collectables/gathering for the remainder. The leve allowances you would use between 50 and 60 would be better used on another class. You could even coast from 50 to 60 by gathering materials necessary for leveling crafting classes.

For fastest leve/collectibles - for profit normal - I did a mix of both really. Just so it's less monotonomous.

collectibles for the win in regards to leveling.. i rarely done any leves on my gathering classes XD

that is a very good advice,once you level by nodes an see what items an how much they sell,an thats something you wont learn from levequests, i understand that is little slow but you can try to mix it. some levequest some nodes?, or split the 99 levequest between the 3 gatherers?. an if you going to level by nodes dont forget to buy the scrolls that increase the experience also GC turn in must be HQ dont forget that. best of lucks.

i leveled my gatherers like that in 2.0 in HW however the distance between nodes turned me off leveling that way lol so just collectible leveled once unlocked it XD

I did leves and GC until level 50 on each of them. For miner (my first to 60), I did leves and GC turn in's. I had no idea how to do the collectables. XD For my bot, I did a couple leves, the GC (of course), but mostly collectables. Especially level 57+. Those last couple levels seemed to go by waaaay faster than they did on my miner. Dunno if it's just a perspective thing, tho. It really helped that I had my miner at 60 to farm the blue scrip gear so I could jump right in at the higher end of the collectables (not the ones that only give like 10 scrips or whatever.)
