Retainers/inventory space

You would think by now with all the money Square Enix makes from people buying extra retainers that they would have figured out how to make all that extra space more permanant, without additional cost. I'm paying waay to much for my extra retainers, it's appalling, although I could not carry on without them all since I keep all my mats, glamours and other equipment in my retainers.

Almost $70 every 3 months to play this game. I love the game, but this is a little disgusting.

Why are you paying soo much? $15 for the monthly then $2 per retainer x 6 is $12 for a $27 per month cost. If you pay for more months at once then it is even cheaper.

I'm assuming you aren't American to be getting that price? Otherwise... please explain how, because that shouldn't be, even if you're a legacy player.

In my case, the 180 day sub costs $110.45 because the Canadian dollar sucks.

Bah, I was remembering wrong. I used to subscribe on the 90 day cycle, I've since swapped to 180.

Inventory space is definitely going to be a persistent issue that grows more volatile over time. I'm hoping that, like housing, in a patch or two we'll end up getting some major quality of life changes to make inventory management less of a chore. Allowing us to hire an additional retainer for free, for example, would go along way towards alleviating the issue.

Seems like you answered your own question there, OP. Why should Square bother to make more inventory space available for free when people are willing to spend extra cash each month just to access more inventory space? I mean, I'd like more space too even though I haven't filled up what's available for free but it's pretty easy to see why Square doesn't mind the way things are now.

The idea is to pressure them. We see what is going on in terms of what is making money, retainters, subs, name/server changes, Fantasias etc.. they are making a LOT of profit and clearly not putting things back in the game that make the MOST sense. It's outrageous that they havn't even tried to add a third and fourth retainer for free yet, especially with the amount of content they have for the game.
