    Tanks have a solid role in Feast; Medal Hog.

    There is no reason DPS or Healers should be picking up Medals. The more you carry, the more you drop when killed. Go past a certain number and you start taking more damage.

    Medals were clearly made with Tanks in mind. It is something they can both focus on, and something that plays to their strengths. Players drop half their Medals when killed, that first kill is going to drop 50 Medals, and whoever picks it up is going to take that 10% Vulnerability Up. Drop it on a DPS and you risk them dying and losing you 75 Medals. Unless we only have 2 seconds to pick up Medals, you're going to want to have Tanks grabbing them...

    Couple that with Assists, and you've got a situation where shit might actually feel rewarding... Playing Healer or Tank (properly) in Seize just isn't rewarding. At all. I can stun lock a Healer (or provide enough healing to allow one to push), and that can be the only reason Ninja McFluffButt managed to score a kill at all, but I get nothing for it... Assists correct that... Achievements brought about through strict role requirements go a long way too. Unless they add Assists to Seize, I'm doubtful I'll ever go back to it... I'm sick to death of dealing 90% of the damage to someone, and having someone else take the credit... I'm sick of being the only healer in a group that doesn't show an ounce of gratitude when I opt to give us a fighting chance instead of working on the thing I actually care about...

    I understand that Feast is the focus in 3.2, but too much emphasis on Feast might actually hurt pvp growth as a whole. Building up frontlines as a core pvp attraction would be a better way to grow pvp interest. Feast, even with great rewards, is going to appeal mostly to a smaller group of more serious pvpers.

    Sorry to be a downer, but I don't think feast will build mass pvp interest.
    Tanks are pointless in pvp. DPSing, healing, crowd controlling - these are three base activities in pvp in almost any mmo.

    Feast is akin to ranked arenas, so yeah it will definitely draw an attention of pvpers, and because of that other pvp modes will suffer.

    No one seems to read what i write. I understand I tanks are medal banks. And I never asked for dps back. I'm saying dps made playing a tank class not boring because tank mechanics are boring as hell in ffxiv. That's why I asked for more tank utilities on shorter cool downs? So I can have fun inbetween the 2.5 min cooldown on thrill of war or m tempest? So I can press buttons that do more than stun?

    Seems reasonable to me.

    Stop assuming that I want more dps cuz I don't like tanking. Dps just made an otherwise poorly designed role bearable.

    I don't think you even know what you want with all the backtracking you do. If tank class is boring to you no one is forcing you to play it, just like no one forces people to play healer class which is an arguably way more u rewarding class to play in pvp.

    I'm not assuming anything. You are clearly illustrating that you don't know even half about what a Tank can do in PvP, because you're asking for things we already have.

    You want to defend you team with a shield? Cool. You have an ability on Pld called "Testudo" and another on War called "Thrill of War." You want more utility? Learn how to dip and dive. Use your monstrous Hp pool as bait, stun lock or holmgang your enemy, throw up a Full Swing and instruct your Dps to murder the poor sod. Want to defend your Healers? Great! There's a move for that too. Pld's have "Glory Slash," and War's have "Mythril Tempest." Those are just the PvP abilities. You have plenty of utility in PvP already. You just have to learn how to think outside the box.
