How come these beastmen tribes don't summon any primals or have any beastman quest rep grinds associated with them?
It feels like they are just an afterthought.

Before Alexander the Goblins are in the same boat (regarding primals), another reason is more simple. The Qiquirn, Mamool Ja, Sylphs and Goblens are know to trade with or ally the Spoken races, and of the 4, only the Sylphs and Goblens had summoned a primal, and of those 2, only the Sylphs did it from the start of ARR. As the Primals are a focus, so too are their thralls, that means that Beastmen that summon a primal would get more focus then those that didn't up to a point. Eventually we will likely explore the Mamool Ja and Qiqurm lore and they will have a Primal for us to face, but for now the focus on primals is squarely on the Vanu Vanu, Gnath and Goblins (and Azys Lla's Warring Triad).
the remaining tribes could already be in the process of cooking up some pretty interesting fights in the future (hopefully)more stuff to kill is always a plus for me
I think the mamool Jaa could be in a position to summon a primal sooner or later depending on desperation. Compared to qiqirn, they really don't have nowhere else to go or to call home.
They're still somewhat accepted in Limsa Lominsa, but their home is in a new continent far away and it seems as if they're stuck in Eorzea for now. It was the Lominsans that brought them over. Now there aren't that many jobs for them and most are used as cheap labor
They temporarily had a place Wanderer's Palace, but the WoL kicked them out.
Well why no beastman rep grinds for the rat people and whatever the mamool ja are?
Because they haven;t summoned a primal yet, and because there is no society within Erozea that we can access yet (With a corresponding ares full of near max level mobs). All the Beast Tribes so far are those that summoned primals (Shiva being summoned by humans don;t count, the Moogles are embigious, and I suspect the Gnath and Goblins will get BT quests down the road)
I'm sure he means from a game/developer logic; there has to be a gang of bad beastmen we have to deal with and then we find some "good" ones in a different sect that are at odds with them. Ergo, we got a reason to help out.
I believe Qiqirn, Mamool-Ja and Goblins are foreign beastmen, not really originating from Eorzea, or that they have migrated from Eorzea (I'm sure Goblins are foreign though), so there might be only a few in Eorzea and they're not given much attention.
All three of them can be seen Limsa Lominsa though, so they might be treated a bit better.
