Fw things in this game bug me. Fewer can bug me more than the inconsistency with achievement names. Namely Mapping the Realm: Pharos Sirius (Hard)

While I enjoy the game and think outside of these things its perfect, these are the things that I truly hate.
1-The mechanics, I am a trad rpg mmo vet...I expected it to be xi 2, its not and I never played wow nor do I like a hybrid action movement mmo rpg. I would truly love if we all got to focus on just playing our jobs and relaxing during fights instead of having to constantly move, this really drives me up the wall and I will never enjoy it, but put up with it for gear only.
2-The fact the entire open world is joke easy and in no way an adventure or dangerous journey, I want to explore with that danger feeling of making it to the other side of dunes.
3-The fact that while the races are copied/clones of xi races, they now have ZERO diversity really we basically have glamor races and glamor gear, everything else is cookie cutter boring.
Otherwise great game visually, great story, great music, great job system and so on.
The body is but a vessel for the soul, A puppet which bends to the soul's tyranny. And lo, the body is not eternal, For it must feed on the flesh of other, Lest it return to the dust whence it came. Therefore must the soul Deceive, despise, and murder men.

And so began the story of the wanderer, the vagrant.

Depends on what you play, as an archer/bard even in normal areas in fights I'm always moving to kite, or i'd get gobbled up easily. When I was a pug, I pretty much stood still..in dungeons I moved a lot, and as an archer I move less in dungeons than on a pug or in normal game. Standing still is a nice thing, but it can easily get boring very fast. While I enjoy the game and think outside of these things its perfect, these are the things that I truly hate.

Wait no world content??????? Wtf are FATEs and Hunts?!
Then you've got a guy complaining that he doesn't want to have to move during combat? Are you even serious? The second complaint is that everything is too easy, and you precede that by saying you want it to be easy so you can relax. Wow. Wow this thread. Wow.
/start rant
Dailies, I am sick of them. There are too many daily bonus things going on.
Ya, ya, I could do anything I want in game. However it is getting to the point where I feel obligated to run all these daily activities to get the most bang for time spent. Dailies for this, dailies for that, screw dailies.
To add to this frustration, it becomes monotone, my eyes glaze over... the worst part of it, I don't hate or dislike playing this game... these stupid daily/weekly objectives, and these stupid caps on everything are turning everything into a chore instead of fun thing to do... something I have to go down the list and check it off for the day "Did I do trial roul? Did I do expert? Did I do leveling roul on another class? Did I do my GC turn ins for craft? Did I do my scrips? Did I do a raid? Did I do tomes?"etc... Even worse it is a check list I didn't make! Then to top it all off, everything I tried and rarely finish completely gets crapped on by next major patch and the cycle repeats over and over and over and over, this isn't a theme park this is a single merry-go-round with different animal seats.
I never log on and say "what do I want to do today?" I log on to a list of bonus' I haven't received, that I systematically run through as opposed approaching the activities willingly on my own.. The only decision I feel I make is which class/job do I apply these bonus' to? By the time I get done running these things, I don't even want to play anymore... I might have logged in saying "I really want to do this thing for the day........ after I get my dailies done." It's annoying.
Am I partially to blame for this ? hell ya I am... but I wouldn't be compelled if I wasn't getting it waved in my face no matter which direction I turned.
How many times has anyone logged in rolled their eyes and said "crap, didn't get my void ark thing for the week.... really don't want to run it, but better do it or I miss out"? or something similar with stones or challenge log or w/e it is.
I guess it is just incredibly hard to have goals when every time you make one the goal post is moved on you.
/end rant.

I hate than I can't queue and have chocobo out.
1. All the complaining that seems to be about nothing really
2. The people that love to dictate the way others play (Like the people who can't let go that there are healers who don't want to dps, hence why they rolled a healer)
3. The sense of elitism that this community has
4. The difficulty gap. (by difficulty gap, I mean there is really no middle ground)
5. The lack of anything to do on the main maps other than fates, hunts, or leve quests.
6. How a lot of the armors look basically the same with just a recolor.
I suppose my biggest 'bother' at the moment is the lack of content that is unpredictable. I'd love to see a sprawling dungeon where each new floor offers greater rewards at the cost of higher risks and lethal tracks that threaten to reset your progress. At the end of each floor you could vote with your party to either proceed further or retreat with whatever you happen to have gathered so far.

It bothers me that I purchased the expansion yet cannot access any of the expansion's areas (or classes). It bothers me that I am forced to do dungeons to advance the main story line in order to get access to these areas. I'm an older player and have slower reaction times and so feel really uncomfortable doing dungeons. I much prefer open world content anyway, and wish there was more of it (like random zone events, eg). If I had it to do over again, I would not purchase the expansion since it's unlikely I will ever see any of its benefits.
I'll live with it but MP and how it is handled in this game is garbage. 2000-3000 MP at lvl 60 for Fire 1 compared to a simple 5 MP in any other FF game? Get out of here with that crap. Even in FFXI it was a whopping 7 MP. It just completely baffles me how and why they are using a percentage scaling system on your resource stat. Yet any other melee class is using their normal TP skills for 60-80 a piece. Out of 1000.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
