Any good way to exploit Lewena's AI?

It feels like that's the only way to win, if there even is an exploit.

The fact that she's the final boss, of sorts, of Triple Triad and you can't choose your cards or where to place them is god awful game design. As is Random. Why have a card game about collecting to make your deck better, only to have the best of the best NPCs have a rule that leaves the game entirely to chance?

Anywho, any exploits would be awesome. Getting 1/2/3* cards consistently against two 5*, one 4* is a win-less endeavor.

The only thing I've found that helps is to deliberately play your bad cards in positions where you can capture them back.

If a card is low value and you expose two of its bad sides on purpose, you can let your opponent capture it and then use the last side to capture it back - so you're still even despite having trash cards and you just need to get lucky once to score a win.

That suggestion is not an exploit...it's playing the game. Which I wholly endorse!

I personally enjoyed playing against her, it was a fun challenge.

Beaten her so many times it is more frustrating that the RNG won't drop a card more than actually beating her. Seriously that is the worst part of playing her. But like Myon said you can usually bait her with bad cards and most of the time she will use a power house card which leaves the weak spot open so you can flip that card on top of flipping your captured card back. However tho sometimes strategy can backfire and you paint yourself into a corner so to speak. One thing I have noticed is if you try to play smart it feels as tho she plays smart. But if you just slap cards in order on the board you will notice she will place her cards in somewhat of a pattern but it's nothing to really go by since Chaos usually determines how that pattern will work.

Because it's RANDOM/CHAOS. There is no clear cut strategy to give.
All I can give you is what I posted in the other thread.
Look at her cards. She is weak on the RIGHT side, and the Bottom side on almost EVERY single one. So place your crap cards mid-left, top left. Bait her, capture her cards. If possible recapture your crap cards with your slightly stronger crap card. But only when there is only 1 slot left to take over. If your weak card is exposing 2 sides. be careful re-claiming a card that has 2 exposed sides. Sometimes you if you think about what they have left it's worth it.

    For instance.

Say you place, Cactuar card in top left corner.

She chaos' garuda/odin/Terra (Weak on bottom cards). She'll either place it under cactuar like an idiot. or place it safely somewhere on the bottom. If she places it underneath cactuar and captures it. Well now you can capture gaurda/odin/terra from underneath easily. And the reason you want to capture Gaurda/Odin/Terra instead of RE-capturing your card. Is because If they used Garuda/Odin/Terra the chances of getting one of these again over Cloud/Ifrit/Titan/Onion Knight/Bartz is low. So if they Recapture your top left card, or ANY card since they are all on the left side, they expose themselves. If they play it safe, you can freely re-claim your card. now you'll have a lead.

I could go on and on about the possibilities. But with foresight/skill/luck. You can get a comfortable win ratio against her. Nothing super amazing. But not where you feel like you're only winning 2-3 per window.

Just started my slog with our friend Lewena. Currently I'm at 77 wins against her, and I've received Four Terra Bradford's In that time, so about a 1:20 drop rate for THAT card based on my small sample.

I average 5-8 wins per window. The trick is being able to play through bad hands fast, to get to the ones that give a win. The play to the upper left to bait her is the only real strategy that one can bring to bear upon this NPC. You just have to keep playing hands, and you'll see some wins.

The depressing part as those above noted is seeing win after win with nothing dropping. The drop rate on her is clearly pretty tight, and the others two cards are probably rarer.

Mostly I have been thinking of this as a long term MPG farming run, thanks to alternating with King Elmer when Lew's window goes down. I make a few thousand coins a cycle, and if Elmer drops Bahamut then thats a 600 coin bonus.

    Good luck!

I just completed my time with Lewena, and have joined the ranks of those who have gotten all three cards from her.

I averaged 5 to 8 wins per window. I rarely won 6 or 7, it was always 5 or 8. Occasionally I'd win less occasionally more, but most of my runs ended with 5 or 8 wins.

To get all three cards I had 156 wins. In them I got 4 Terra, 1 Bartz, 1 Onion Knight. All four Terra dropped between wins #25 and #55, Bartz on #124, and the Knight on #156 of course. This works out to a 1:26 drop rate for any card, but of course I went from 55 to 124 and saw nothing in that range so of course RNG is RNG.

The best advice I can offer other then the play your cards to the left and top to bait her, is that learning to play fast is key. Most games are losses or draws, and getting them out of the way so you can get a re-deal that has the potential of winning is key. Getting a few more games per window helps over the long run.

Good luck to all of you with your decks and RNG drops!
