Thread: Australian Raider LF Medium-Hardcore Group for progression!

I guess you all know the drill by now.

After 3 months of serious illness and remission with power drugs, I'm ready to jump head first back into progression raiding!

I'm experienced as a main tank and an off tank until the tornado phase of A3S (the point I hit before I got very sick). I've also done the same as melee and magic dps.
Due to illness I've been to >1% of Thordan ex several times, but have been unsuccessful since.
I've also exp as both positions of healer in A1S.


What I'm looking for:
-A group of individuals who have the same similar drive that I have, to excel and to do the best they can do.
-A group who isn't afraid of having to do things the hard way, giving it their all.

What I'm not looking for:
-A group that's A4S or A4S progressing. I'm not looking for carry. I am willing to join a group with progress from anywhere to A1S to A3S (no exp on A4S so I don't want to be a burden), and to work with them to attain good progress.
-A group that is thirsty for progression.

What I offer:
-A deep understanding of the game mechanics and the mechanics of each class.
-A drive to perfection, practising for hours and hours in order to optimize all aspects of what I do.
-The willpower to wipe, and wipe, and wipe, and wipe without getting discouraged.
-A unique sense of humour (not dirty or dark or wrong), past experiences raiding in progression environments since the launch of the coil of bahamut (leading until 3.xx). A bit reserved at the start, very friendly once I open up.
-Excellent communication skills in a raid. Have used nearly every voip program imaginable for raiding, and am always an active part of the conversation focused on mechanics.

What I can play:
Preferably playing the caster position as a Black Mage. For newer groups, I am also interested in properly learning to heal from fresh as a white mage or an Astrologian (doing this currently in spare time).
If not, I'm also adept and well skilled as a monk (cannot drive A2S).

These are the three main roles I would prefer to play, in order of descending preference.

Outside of those, I can also play dragoon (however it is very undergeared at the moment), as well as paladin, warrior or dark knight.

As for available times, I am free for 7pm AEDT (gmt+11) on all days bar thursdays currently, till around 11pm/12pm gmt+11. I will not be going later unless we are close to passing an important fight/part of an important fight (due to my medical condition, I need to make sure I get sufficient rest.) I am also currently free weekends minus sundays from 5pm till 7pm.

I'm sorry if this sounds elitist or mean spirited, it's not meant to be, truly. Simply making it plain and clear what my own expectations are and what I am willing and not willing to do so. I am willing to discuss raid times (minus the thursday), willing to discuss which class are required.

I will not be leaving my current fc for a raid group sorry, I too much enjoy my fellow fc members to leave them.
