Need assistance finding out why they removed rings from 3.0+ half-gloves.

Hello all, hoping this doesn't get moved to 'insufficient information' like my last post before anyone at all really gets to see it, but pre 3.0, the half-gloves(ie linen/cotton/velveteen half-gloves) never showed the rings. However, since 3.0 the crafting ones(dhalmelskin/serpentskin gloves of crafting) were able to, but in 3.1 they 'ninja-patched' them out. Now, i made a post elsewhere about it and there was very vague mention about a french post that said it was a bug and they have since 'fixed' it. Is there any way i could find more mention of that, cause all the google-fu i could muster could not find that post, and any way at all that this post could get more love than my last one and hopefully an admin or anyone could bring up the topic of why this was patched out, was such a nice change being able to show my rings while actually wearing my half-gloves, which i love so much. Please, SE...Gimme back the display of my Eternity Ring.

I can't see any reason why it shouldn't be possible to show rings with half-gloves. It's obviously technically possible otherwise it wouldn't have happened. Maybe they didn't want to deal with the outcry from non-crafters who would ultimately demand to see rings too.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but if 'non-crafters'(which are all classes) wanted to show rings...why not just make this possible again and then can just glam the gloves, that show the rings?

You did misunderstand, but it was probably how I worded it. What I meant was that they should allow everyone to show rings with half-gloves. No glam needed.
