Just need to QQQ a little

It was a rough night crafting my Red Script turn-ins this evening.
Hit a streak where of 5 consecutive crafts where HT failed 4+ times. Just to rub salt in the wound, RNGesus decided that Reclaim would failed 3 of those 5 times.

QQQing done. Thank you for you time.

persoanlly i never touch reclaim on collectables. and so long as i know ill hit minimum quality to get the collectable im fine with it.

then i also always make sure to have some extra mats to craft another one if i dont get max reward and will fall short of the cap. can always sell excess mats or keep them for next time.

still that is some bad luck on the hasties and reclaims.

Dont use HT for the Red Script turn-in

you will need 420CP and 629 craftsmanship to perform this (if the values of the simulator is correct)

you can also use Maker's Mark opener to have one more HT/PT instead of Innovation

Macro for the Muscle Memory version and this is what i am using.
Once your control reached 754, you can 100%HQ from NQ mats without any good proc.
And with high craftsmanship, can cut out the final CS2 to make it quicker

The upside is the speed and the relative low CP requirement, can achieve with meld and no need any food buff
The downside is need high control to 100% HQ

(the Innovation is moved to different place to avoid a poor condition in BB)

Just FYI, something that I only discovered yesterday is that the need for <me> in crafting macros is no more. The actions all default to your character now, therefore we can remove <me> in crafting macros. =)

I feel you. Last week's red scrips were terrible. I kept DCing when I was making the finished piece. I'd DC, loose all the mats, then come back and wait a bit. My connection would be absolutely perfect. No lag. Nothing. Then I'd dare to try again and I'd DC. The fourth or fifth time happened and I just couldn't anymore. Q_Q

I wish there was something we can do to save your materials if we disconnect. I understand we loose them because the cheaters would force DC themselves if it was clear they wouldn't be getting a HQ or high enough collectability but still... Just put us back where we were. Q_Q We don't have to start over from scratch.

Real RNG can really be a blessing or a curse:
consecutive fails at over 80%? Check
consecutive successes at under 20%? Check too! (so lovely when this happens during melding)
DC's though... SE should make it salvageable but knowing how people can abuse this to avoid losing mats in expensive crafts, I can understand how SE might not want to implement this.

Forget that 80%. From my experience the real success chance is more around 50% (yes I am using SH II ._.).

I HATE HATE HATE the hasty [skill].

basically do what AsiaNymph said: get CP, substitute as many [hasty] as you can with proper skills and kick RNGsus in the groin. :<

Just east some soup to get 400+ CP, so you can do this. It's worth it.

Yes, after the queuing a few weeks ago, I tinkered a bunch with my rotation options on the simulator. This is what I settled on.

While HT and RS are used, it takes a colossal failure for it not produce at least a minimum collectability turn-in. Recast RS until success, replacing HTs. Replace any good proc touch with PC.
Results from this rotation during past two week were the same each week:
    2 minimum collectable
    1 medium collectable
    7 100% collectable

Thus, 10 item turn-in for max Red scripts. I will switch one completion touch for a quality touch once I get around to completing my Main and off hand 2* tools.

I think you should get better results if you alter your rotation depending on how everything goes. Your stats should be good enough for you to hit max collectability almost 100% of the time even with a RNG based rotation.

With your current rotation, you'll end up with an expected IQ stack of 8.2 if you fail to land a precise touch. However, instead of spending CP on basic touch or precise touch, I'd switch to using the CP for master's mend if there are too many misses near the beginning of the craft (where you're using rs and ht). This actually gives you an expected inner quiet result of 9.6 vs 8.2.

If things go well, however, start replacing your RNG based abilities with BT and PT as it'll guarantee max collectability in those cases.

One thing that I like to consider is that replacing HT with BT increases your expected IQ by 0.2, replacing with PT increases it by 1.2, and adding additional hasty touches under SH2 increases it by 0.8 stacks per touch. Use this to determine what approach to take during each craft. You get the best results if each synthesis is custom tailored.
