Get rid of vote abandon

I just had a Void Ark group vote abandon after 1 single wipe because 5 people left. Rather then wait to refill they voted to abandon wasting my time and that of those who hit no.

I recommend that they just flat out remove the penalty from leaving a duty in progress if one boss is dead and remove vote abandon from the game.

I would rather be inconvenienced by people leaving on their own than be FORCED to quit the duty I signed up for just because some others want to quit.

I don't want to be held hostage by bad groups, and trust me when I say it happens a whole heck of a lot more than most people think. I got set back an entire day because of terrible a4 runs for my last 10 items for Relic. The players would rather dps and ignore orbs than actually get the orbs or pull dolls off healers. Sorry, but not sorry. Maybe increase the timer in raids to 30 minutes, but absolutely leave everything else the same.

Sorry OP, this was a group vote and you happen to be in the minority vote.

What SE should do, is create a "Drop from Duty" log. The more times you do it or get vote kick'd, the harsher your drop penalty becomes. Make it so that completing duties, lowers that penalty buff.

Then leave. I'm recommending they just get rid of the penalty after 1 boss is down for leaving. Seriously this is the only game that I have played that has vote abandon. It's incredibly selfish to force the people who want to keep going to quit just because you wanna rage quit after 1 wipe.

Kinda going hand in hand with this could we also get it to where if people join in progress it won't let them leave for at LEAST 2 minutes? The number of times that a party would have been full again in the space of a minute if not for people leaving as soon as they pop in is ridiculous.

And why can't they just friggin leave then? Why force the others who want to play the game to quit? Get rid of the penalty and this wouldn't be a problem.

If one person has left and their spot remains unfilled, others can exit without the penalty anyway (but if the 'finding members' thing disappears as you exit, you'll still get one)... I don't really understand the purpose of vote abandon unless it's a full group. I guess it prevents people from in progress queueing into an empty instance and wasting time, but that's about it.

Unless something has changed, it only takes 50%, which is not a majority. I know 4-man and 8-man stuff only takes half of the people voting yes.

Or. You could leave. It's also just as selfish to hold people hostage because you don't want to re-queue. Not everyone spams abandon, and quite frankly if enough voted for it, might as well learn to deal with it. People don't want to be stuck with people who don't try or don't care.

And thus we'll go right back to 2.0 where people leave and join all the time. 30 minutes isn't going to kill anybody.
