It doesn't look too bad on a dress, but I have a feeling it would look downright hideous on armour. I think the problem is that they would either put random sparkles of the same colour on armour, making some, if not most clothing look downright awful in it, or specifically work on the sparkle setting on each piece of clothing which would be a waste of development time on such a minor thing.Glitter was invented to highlight things in an obnoxious way? Dude have you had some kind of tragic experience with sparkle in the past?
Is this really so eye gougingly horrifying that you can't bear to look at it because I'm obviously attention seeking and being obnoxious by having a sparkly texture on my clothes?
I like this idea cause it has serious potential but dont limit it to glitter. How about some rust, blemishes, battle wear and tear? Theres alot here but the problem will probably be gear redesigns or texture designs. Alot of work for really not much gain. It would bring some more much needed variety though...
The screenshots provided are nice but what i had in mind was like the sparkle that happens when you do the Manderville pose but more faint
and it wouldn't take the entire company to make just a group of 2-3 tops
Holy moly, you're a gem. I hope you never look at anyone actually using spells or abilities. Or ever do a dungeon ever if flashy looking things are such an awful offense to you.

I am pretty sure the OP was talking about a non lingering sparkle, but that's pretty hard to photoshop onto a picture without it looking really weird.. I was just trying to calm down the hate from the little one in here throwing a fit about how everyone was going to be standing around like glowing neon signs. There's a million other things that should take priority over something like this, but to be so over the top about it is ridiculous. It doesn't look too bad on a dress, but I have a feeling it would look downright hideous on armour. also its not like I'm saying it needs to be in the game this instant, it's just an idea that's not much different to what they have already put in the game before![]()
Sounds like a harmless idea to me, and i'd definitely use it! Dont see why anyone has to get up in arms about adding something sparkly to an already sparkly game.. If you're offended by shiny things you must be having a hell of a time in Eorzea.. Its a fantasy game, so why the heck not
