NA server recommendation

New player, I'm currently on sarganatas, it's seems Mildly populated but I was thinking if switching a new more populated server, I haven't seen gilgamesh open once lol... I was thinking Marlboro or ultros or famfrit maybe...
Being a new player I want a densely populated server...
Alot of active players...
I just started the game 2 days ago so starting a new toon on a different server is no big deal to me currently
Any suggestions for when the servers come back up?

Balmung is probably the most heavily populated NA server, as it was traditionally the server that those interested in role-playing flocked to, and thus by extension anyone just wanting a friendly, well-populated server also joined it too. Unfortunately this means that it is almost always locked to new character creation, and we still very occasionally get 'this world is currently full' login queue errors when logging in as well, although you should be able to transfer an existing character there (as I did myself when I moved there from Ridill).

I sagest Balmung its a great server(imo) And one of the best if you like to Rp or see Rps around.
Only big down side is you most likely will have to pay for a transfer to Balmung to get in ther easily or time it right and make a character after sever maintenance. Thou this can also be a positive in a way, with character creation locked almost all the time you rarely if at all get the annoying rmt tells.
Gilgamesh is also another thats populated thou i know nothing of it community like i do Balmungs.

Behemoth is a good server, though also well populated like Balmung, so character creation is often locked. Behemoth is not quite as over populated as Balmung though - assuming I remember correctly which servers were highly populated in the most recent server active player populations as posted by someone in the General forum.

I started off on Behemoth actually and it was dead at the time
I have had no issues in the 2+ years i have been on leviathan

2+ years? Wow you must have caugh Behemoth on a bad week, I've been there since ARR Beta phase 3 on Behemoth, and my FC has always been relatively active. I'm glad Leviathan works for you.

LOL, looks like the OP picked Malboro, looks like none of us was particularly persuasive. Hopefully Marlboro works for the OP.

Coeurl is a pretty good server as well I think. I haven't had any problems finding people when I'm looking to run something.
