Uh.. I always thought this was to be the natural procession once we started to use white auracite.... Sword users get light sabers... Monks would get Psi Blades (Sorta like the protoss from starcraft) Bow/gun users would get some sort of fire arm that fires bolts of 'aether'....

Instead.. we all got the same stupid flashlight attack.

Please keep in mind that just adding a lightsaber weapon to the game would involve lots and lots and LOTS of discussions with Disney, the current holders of all rights to the entire Star Wars franchise.

They don't want a literal lightsaber. Disney does not have a trademark/patent for any and all swords that emits a laser as far as I'm aware.

and yeah, we need the same kind of light weapon for every class. Cid should be able to make them.
