I hope you missed a few words here, because Ifrit, Ramuh, Shiva, and Moogle can't be burned, nor can all mechanics be ignored.

Ifrit will actually insta-wipe the party if you try and burn him. We found this out the hard way when we went in to get the last pony we need for out raid group, went in unsynched, everyone started with usual opener. Ifrits respose: hellfire the group instant death at lvl 60.

That fight was one of the reasons I stayed away from "serious" raiding in this game. The very fact this game has reverse DPS check. Nobody likes that, and I don't care for ponies enough to put up with it. And no this is nothing like King Mog where you have to KO the servants first, that's called killing the wrong things. Ifrit EX on the other hand, NOPE, can't do the best cause it will punish you until it gets to that of the script where it says you can, namely you must down the nails 3 times to win.

Go in solo/duo or the minimal needed for mechanics to work and turn off echo and there you go, adversity is back. My friend and I have been doing that for our ponies, it's a lot more fun than going in with a full unsynced party (only tried full unsync pt with Ramuh, Levi [lawl - ironically its more annoying this way] and mog extreme).

We 3 manned them, echo off and all that. Still need to do rammy and mog ex. We one shot levi ex without trying, odin with bard and war and whm the rest war, whm and drg. Still have stuff like t8, t9 to do and onward.

Midas will likely be harder but not in savage mode as they have said.

Raids were stale b4 we even got the craptastic savage mode.

Hopefully se learn the OBVIOUS AF lesson and release the NM AFTER savage next time.
