The Void Ark (Loot)

I have spoken to alot of my peers in game, and almost every single one of us have messed up looting from "The Void Ark" on our first run. When "Need before Greed" is the selected looting method, the assumption is that when you greed an item, you'll only win if nobody else needs it. There is currently no warning that you will be able to loot only one item in the Void Ark. I suggest that be written into the loot dialogue when the chests are opened. A red warning message would suffice.

Ouch. Apparently I need to pay more attention. I'll admit I've been spoiled a bit by other MMO's, who would likely display an "Are you sure? You can only obtain one item." Followed by a Yes or No query, in order to loot. But that might get annoying. Hmm. It is a widely made error, though. Maybe there is an even better solution.

It is a widely made error, though. Maybe there is an even better solution.

It really shouldn't be, though. The previous 24-man raids (Crystal Tower) had the same loot system when they were first introduced. Void Ark is nothing new.

Besides, I would hope a person would only make that mistake once if they didn't read the warning message the first time. There has to be some sort of limit on how much hand-holding a game needs to do for a player. The message is provided, it really only requires the player to read it.

I accidentally looted on a mask of scouting after trying it on. -_- At least my NIN is 58.
