Hello again, voidsent fellas!

I said it I would have made the direct request to Yoshi-P and so I did:

The void ultimate dungeon with the LOC team in a secret room inside!

No kidding, I want Ferne & colleagues to be a content in Eorzea. How awesome would it be to have a secret room in the void where monster NPCs with your names give us adventurers who can find them more real informations on the void, while we're inside?
The void as a dungeon would rock, and so would the LOC team hidden there.


Just wanted to drop this here and let you know, as your work is always appreciated (I'm finishing the writing of a journal post with the lore informations I learned during the new, first Grand Company quests: thanks for your ever Great job. And I still have a lot to do and discover!), and if Yoshi-P will take the void dungeon request into consideration, alongside your avatars, I hope you'll approve to be placed there!

Dungeon, huh? Like the Legendary Library in Thanalan? Filled with voidsent creatures and that change places with the moon phase?

The place where you can find all the ancient story of each city, each race, each class...where you can read about all heroes, all villians, all myths and legends?

Well, there's a while already i asked SE a hamlet named E'nix Square lol! Gamefreak always did this in pokemon games and i think it would be great here too...having characters with the lead members of dev team, community reps and notorios SE members from lodestone there too, like having Ferne, the arihman, Bay, the morbol and Naoki yoshida, the fuzzy-haired lalafell there among many others! ^^

There was something like this in FFIV, and FF14's Matsui was in there if memory serves me right.
But what if they add it and then the team changes?

It just happens that work on all the new maps for 2.0 (and beyond) will be kicking off very soon. I can't promise anything, but I'll let the team know of your suggestion, and we'll see if I can't at least ninja in something cool name-wise.

Oh, and a tip of the hat to MelonPie with the nice slice of trivia! Matsui-san did indeed make his way into FINAL FANTASY IV (or FFII for all those thirty-somethings ).

As far as the thread suggestion goes; I think it'd be awesome to see gentle nods to dev members here and there. Even the thread I was just joking about is aimed at giving recognition to everyone involved in bringing XIV full circle. IIRC, even in XI when you could chat with a mob as if it were an NPC it had a unique name, I doubt anyone would bat an eyelash at orges, phurbles, and ahriman named after the LOCies if they had something they wanted to tell us. The only challenge would be narrowing down their favorite pop culture references!

Thanks, Ferne! As my main occupation in Eorzea has always been the one of the Explorer, I'm also glad to hear that the new maps' creation will soon start. *points like Anonymoose to his sig to remember about the Great Library or a big Ishgardian's library with outdoors balcony*

It would be an awesome surprise to see an Ahriman named Fernehalwes in the void dungeon, alongside his teammates. If Yoshida-san will take it into consideration – and I also asked him in the questions I compiled for the Future of Eorzea – then we'll just have to discuss if Fernie should be equipped with a giant monocle or not.
We might talk about that in the Moose Lodge in Ishgard or under Pine Cloudio in Maidenmere, when the time comes.

I never really thought about ahriman biology before. I wonder how they're so accurate with their magic without depth perception. Perhaps they use echolocation, as well. If so, what's with the giant eye!? What light spectrum does it see in!? GET ME A DODORE. /grabs scalpel

I'm rising this thread back from the first hell to wave goodbye to you voidsent friends, as from this Friday I'll be going in a long cryo-sleep.

Thank you for all the lore you brought us and I hope the Lore Section in the forum will see its light when the Realm of Eorzea will be Reborn. Nophica's bosom and the Bozja Citadel will be eager to have your replies by then.
