Shantotto, please come back...

In two of my suggestion lists, I asked for the Shantotto event. I'll ask one last time. Please, repeat the Shantotto event!! Just once more... I'm very worried about this. Why? Well...

I know that "Lightning Strikes" items will be in MogStation soon. This means that the "Lightning Strikes" event won't be repeated again. (It's very sadly, I loved that event, it was the best one: four quests involving the arrival of a stranger from another world to Eorzea, each one with loot, exclusive FATEs with FF13 enemies, the FF13 counterparts of Odin and Bahamut, and each quest was available some days later instead of being available since the first day. So, you live the event more days, and not just hours).

Well, coming back to the Shantotto event: please, don't add the Shantotto minion to the MogStation now, just repeat the event once more. I'm not asking just for the minion, I'm asking for the event, the story. I NEED MY CHARACTER TO LIVE THAT EVENT!! If I get the minion through MogStation... I would find it... empty...

So please, repeat it a last time... (let players to get that minion free once more, instead of forcing us to pay with real money for a minion without history, just a doll given by a Moogle...).

Oh, right, you mean the event. To be honest, I don't see SE bringing it back actually - we've just had a second FFXI crossover event occur that was an entirely new event so if SE had been interested in running the earlier one I think they would have done so. Given the fact the Shantotto event was timed to coincided with FFXI's eleventh anniversary celebrations (a similar crossover event with FFXIV featuring Eorzean spriggans appearing in Vana'diel was run in FFXI around the same time), I sadly don't see this happening again. Ditto with the Dragon Quest X event. Like the FFXIII event items, I see the Shantotto minion being added to the Mogstation for those who missed out.

It's like the Legacy Campaign/the 'Seventh Umbral Era' once-only events associated with 1.0's shutdown, it's a short term event that basically, 'get it while it's hot!' Once it's over, that it's it, it's never coming back and if you didn't get it in time, you've missed out sadly. That's sadly just a part of life.

Another reason I found to repeat this event is: it has been only repeated once, while the Lightning Strikes event has been repeated twice before the items were available in Mog Station. I think that the Shantotto event should be repeated once more to be equal with the Lightning event. This should be also done with the Dragon Quest event (it also was repeated once instead of twice), and with the recent Iroha event (this one still should be repeated twice in the future). So: each collaboration event should be present at least 3 times before Mog Station.

And don't forget the did the Lightning Strikes event twice because of the original release in Japan, then again for the US I believe. so they had a reason to re-do the event. The events with FFXI? A game only ends once, right?

I don't see the problem to repeat the event. "Lightning Strikes" first appeared in December 2013 due to the japanese release of LR, again in February 2014 for the occidental release, and again in September 2014 for the FF14 1st anniversary (an event not related with XIII at all). LR was recently re-released in steam, so they could repeated it for that occasion, but they didn't.

But Shantotto event was present twice: January 2014 (nothing happened with 11 that moment I think) and for the 1st anniversary of 14 (again, an event non-related with 11). Why not repeat it? FF11 had it's final main scenario divided in three parts. They could repeat the Shantotto event at the release of any part (except the third, because Iroha's event was present for the final part, but they could repeat the Shantotto one after that).

Shantotto event was showed without good reason. This year is the 14th anniversary of 11, so... they could repeat it once more in (FF11's 14th anniversary - FF14), or the next year for 11's 15th anniversary.

PS. I find funny that the three who replied this thread doesn't want to repeat this event. But of course, you already played it. That's why.

the thrid lightning and second FF11 and dragon quest event were repeated for the PS4 players, because we had these events before the PS4 version launched and PS4 players had not the chance to play the events before. that's the reason they repeated it. probably your best bet is the launch of the mac version, but i don't think so xD

Also, when you repeat the Shantotto event (still waiting for it, the reasons are above in my replies), besides the original quest with the minion reward, you can add a new reward to make old players to participate again in the Shantotto FATE: Reign of Pain Orchestrion Roll, since the theme is already in the game.

Yo-kai Watch event is now here again. I hope the other ones too. As I already said, in the sale way Lightning Strikes was up 3 times, the others should too. Is the fair thing.
