I have an idea. It doesn't Balance out the tanking issue but I think this will help instead of thinking of a complicated system for str and vit. Add emnity multipliers on the tank gear. Reason for this Vit will actually be more useful instead of reaching certain health caps. I know some people enjoy having the largest health pool but not very practical due to the lack of keeping hate when teaming up with outstanding dps users. This doesn't fix tank the tank issues though I truly believe they shouldn't be balanced however this makes tanking life easier and not a heartache for undergear tanks who struggle to keep hate. On top of how much you can play around with your build. The more skilled will probably use str while most use vit. Just a thought that I think would benefit more then doing a vit str ratio. As of now we all know FFXIV doesn't have the normal tanking mechanics but at least you can improvise none the less. Just throwing my thoughts out here that's all.
