More designing contests. :3

I loved the idea of the hairstyle contest, though I feel like it wasn't implemented correctly. Adding more of the styles that were in the top twenty would fix that later on.

But thats for another post. The point I want to make is we should have MORE designing contests. They're awesome! Here are my ideas:

1. A music contest. The musicians of Eorzea get together to soundtrack a part of eorzea. Maybe it would be for a primal, a new location, or even a dungeon. Idk, but it could be awesome.

2. Clothes. They should have designing contests for new glamours, maybe even weapons.

3. A user created primal! Imagine if we all submitted our ideas for the perfect primal, and we voted on it.

4. Mounts, minions, etc.

Now, you don't have to agree with me, but I think more contests would be great.

Thnx for the flower in our one ponytail, it was brilliant. Oh, not to mention the overly average short hairstyle for men, definitely needed more of those. -_-

I agree with with more contests like this, although maybe implemented a bit better than the last one. I know people that are creative, and loved the chance to participate in contest where something they designed could be in game. to be fair for those who disliked the winning hairstyles, that is your opinion, and several other people including myself disagree. I like the winnings styles, ( I liked alot of the styles). just because one contest didn't go the way everyone wanted it.( it was a bit of a mess) doesn't mean we should give up on having future ones.

The system for the hairstyle contest was horrible. I suggest adding the styles that were popular as time goes on, it would remedy the bad taste it left in our minds, and then implement better rules for future contests. Just because it didn't happen in a good way, doesn't mean we can't have it again, but better. Thats one thing Final Fantasy XIV is known for. Taking the old and making something glorious out of it. That's the whole premise of our game.

I kind of have to agree with this even though I would personally love to see more design contests. That clothes designing contest idea sounds exciting in theory but with the amount of hostility and nastiness throughout the community, not just these forums, I'd probably not want to enter out of fear I'd be chosen as a finalist. :P

The amount of whiny, critical, and complaining people on the forums is mind blowing, but I don't think it's a good idea to make decisions based around trying to prevent whiners from whining.

The hairstyle contest was a great idea on the Developer's part and I would love to see more contests like it.

The hairstyle contest was great, regardless of the people whining about the styles that were chosen! Would love to get more design contests of any kind. The music one is a great idea! They could even implement that into the jukebox they're adding, add the winning song as sheet music you can find.

Hopefully this time nobody can vote on anything, and none of the finalists are shown, and the devs can just pick one that they like and not give anyone a choice in the matter. I trust their judgement over a bunch of screaming children any day.
