ikr 600 people is more than enough to keep SE pockets full. so if 600 peeps make 100k a year that pays for almost 1/45 or wada paycheck this year.
With no revenue, this game is definitely a sinking ship.
With some revenue, it may still be sinking, but sinking less slowly than before. That could buy some time for an additional year of development for the big PS3 release / 2.0 reboot (which is really the make-or-break moment, not this).
If you want some free play time in the future, try to weasel your way into the PS3 beta.

Not reading another one of these threads, but I did read the OP. Just want to make sure everyone is clear, SE doesn't care. Regardless of how many people they lose, they'll be making more off the game than they are now. So we can all stop talking about it.
So people who like the game visit the forums and people who are only so-so on it don't?
ok
Server: Sargatanas || Main Job: Scholar || Chocobo: Bonchon
All the polls in the english forums are not representativ.
How many english, japanese, france and german players visit the english forums and participate in the polls?
I wouldn't mind paying if they do a server merge, because server populations outside of the top 3 are gonna be way too low for my liking...
Good points, but I think certain people have feelings of loyalty that they feel are being taxed. Or patience. Or trust. Some want to stick with a game through thick and thin and that's being tested.Even if only one in 3 people subscribe, they are still making more money than they are now. It doesn't really matter how many people quit or how many pay. They fully understand a lot of people disagree because SE isn't filled with naive kids like these forums are.
They will start charging, make a little bit of money, premiere the reboot v2.0 trailer at E3, announce PS3 release, and everyone watching E3 will see it and think, "hey, this looks really cool, maybe I should check it out!" because they are starting a second free trial with the launch of 2.0 for all the people that choose not to pay to play between now and then.
I don't see why people are throwing fits over it, if you don't want to pay then you clearly don't really like the game that much. Or are you voicing your opinion because you feel like you'll have to pay? I don't understand. If you don't like the game enough to pay 50 cents per day, then don't. Check the game out again after E3.
2/3 forum users are complete nerds that will support the game no matter how bad it is.
the reality is they dont even care about you. they just want money now.
"Your" is possessive. "You're" means you are.
Your Definition of Bad and other peoples Definition of bad are Different in Contrast.
You say it's Bad, good for you and I respect that, but don't going around Calling us Nerds Defending a game we clearly love and Enjoy. Yes it has flaws, why do you think we getting a complete Overhaul in everything. That doesn't mean we don't enjoy the game and whats going on within it.
I'm glad to be apart of the Radical Changes that's Occurring slowly up to the October 2012 Release of 2.0
